Tigers perform a three game sweep of the Brewers. 1.5 games behind the Cardinals now.

Four game losing streak for the Brewers (7-3 loss to the Twins). The Brewers cannot compete with the American League...bottomline.

Trevor Hoffman has been a little shaky as of late. He hasn't been able to hold two ties and has blown a save. Fortunately, the lineup saved him last night and he picked up a win instead of a loss against the Giants.

What a waste of great outing by Gallardo (12K's and 1 run in 7 innings). Brewers lineup gets shutout again. That's twice in four days.

If Roy Halladay gets traded into the NL Central, it will be bad news for the Brewers.

A big win last night since this series is the last time we see the Cardinals for quite some time.

Brewers pick up the win last night against the Dodgers.
Prince would be the National League MVP, right now, if it wasn't for Pujols.

Another day another lost series.
3-8 in July so far. Not a great way to head into the All Star break.

Congrats to Prince Fielder...the winner of the 2009 Home Run Derby.

Trevor Hoffman pitched a scoreless inning in the All-Star game but the American League won again.

Looper picked up the win over the Reds (good run support by the Brewers) and went 3-3.

Shut out again. This had better not become a bi-weekly event rather than weekly.

You know the Brewers are on a downward spiral when they lose to the Pirates. From first to fourth place.

Brewers shutout the Braves last night. Nice win for Gallardo.
-

Looper can get to ten wins today. The Brewers lineup have given him good run support and hopefully that trend continues.

It took a long time but Gallardo finally got his 10th win. If the Brewers lineup gave him the run support they give Looper, he would have gotten it long time ago.

Non-waiver trade deadline...Brewers don't have much time left.
-

Fans on sports radio are giving up on the season. They were very disappointed that the Brewers made no big moves in the offseason or before the non-waiver trading deadline. The Brewers fans supported their team and the organization failed on using that money.

Pitching stunk last night against the Padres as the Brewers gave up eleven runs.
On the bright side, it looks like Tony Gywnn Jr. is having a nice season as the leadoff hitter for the Padres.

Strong eight innnings of work by Parra against the Dodgers. He's slowly working his way back to a .500 record. As a team, the Brewers are there already.

With Gallardo pitching tonight, hopefully the Brewers can move the small winning streak to three games.
-
08-05-2009, 10:59 AM #502
What an terrible performance by the Brewers pitching staff last night. Gallardo hasn't been as good as I thought he was going to be this season.
-
08-05-2009, 02:44 PM #503
Gallardo's been pretty good, he's got an ERA of 3.59 and he's struck out 154 in 140 innings. Last night sucked!

How do the Brewers take a series from the Dodgers, on the road, but play as ****ting as they have since the beginning of July?
-

Soon it will be Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. My favorite time of the sports year.

Anyone have confidence that Villanueva will not get rocked by the Astros tonight?
-
08-09-2009, 06:12 AM #507
Manny Parra with another win. His ERA isn't very good but one more win and his won-loss record is back to .500. Excellent run support (12).

Anyone know who is pitching on Tuesday night?
-
08-09-2009, 07:31 AM #509
Anyone know if any Brewers have supplement sponsors?

Hardy never caught fire and turned it around at the plate.
-

Another shutout loss.

Brewers got stomped by the Padres last night. You really have to attend a game to see how bad their pitching is. It's a sight to behold. Lopez really dogged on defense over at second and the crowd let him have it with boos. Fans are still coming to the games though as there was 37K+ at last night's game.
-
08-12-2009, 07:13 AM #513
To give you an idea of how well the night went, the Padres Adrian Gonzalez went 6 for 6.
-

The most entertaining part of the game was watching Todd Coffey run from the bullpen to the Ultimate Warrior's music. There was a timer on the big screen to see how fast he could do it.

The one part that I don't miss about watching the game on TV instead is the drunk guy that sits behind you and thinks he's a comedian by constantly heckling the player closest to where you are sitting. This drunk SOB also provides play-by-play commentary at the top of his lungs.

We not give Claudio Vargas a start in the rotation? What damage can it do at this point?
-
08-13-2009, 06:34 AM #517
Well...new pitching coach and old Brewer Chris Bosio (spelling) had us only lose by one run last night. An improvement I guess.
