The reason I prefer unflavored is that it doesn't have all of the extra crap in it. It is also easy to add additional items (e.g. egg whites, almond milk, etc.) without making some weird-ass flavor.

actually one more question, protein shakes, can they be taken any time or is there times that are better to take them than not?
You can buy the 90% whey isolate at the same website for a real good price as well. I just buy the 80% because it is a better value in terms of grams protein per dollar

I'm sure its a common mistake many people make. Adding to the problem is that many sales people in those nutrition stores aren't well educated in HEALTHY nutrition and are simply product-trained to push certain products. Sure, there will be a few exceptions on occasion, but of the retail sales people I've met, most talk about specific product features and know less about actual nutrition. Consequently, many consumers waste money on products they don't need and aren't beneficial.

Ignorance is bliss I suppose. A similar problem can be seen in this board with guys looking to drop weight or get a beach body in 30 days assuming steroids are a magic pill that will make that all happen. In reality, anabolic compounds will help you achieve beneficial gains when and only when someone has committed themselves to proper nutrition and training plans. More baffling are the guys that assume that taking steroids will actually motivate them to start training hard and eating right.

I think I've only ever met one sales person in a nutrition store that actually had half an idea about proper nutrition.

No more protein powders for me. Liquid egg whites give me what I need.

    Look into ON's Platinum Hydrowhey.
It has me very interested at the moment. Sure, there is likely something a bit more natural, but it will probably taste like shit and cost far more.

I've used that. It's probably one of the best products right now IMO. Would just like to get sugars down during my cutting cycle and keep things as clean as possible. My food is so bland right now its ridiculous. Lol

So why don't you stick to that?
    It doesn't contain any sugar...

Looking for stevia. I have isopure now and some new one that I found. Whey from grass fed cows, hormone and antibiotic free. 0.7g carbs per serving. Zero sugar. Sweetened with stevia.

Won't mind as much when I bulk later this summer but for my cut I'm really trying to eliminate all sugar and drive carbs down and cardio up.
