    Deadlift - back pain

    Hey guys,

Im getting muscle pain in the lower back - would that be due to the fact that i havent done deadlifts for about 3 weeks or another reason? i think my technique is pretty good..

how bad of a pain are you getting ? Is it soreness from lifting or is it something serious ?

My guess would be to check your form. Just because you think it's good, doesnt mean that it actually is. You could also be weaker in that section, and thats why you're getting the pain.

I would suggest dropping the weight, and see how that goes.

Im always sore after doing deadlifts. Do you wear a belt? I don't like to cause I find it weakens my lower back and midsection but for heavy deadlifts and squats its a must.

get some backbelt and always keep your back straight, and whenever you lowering the weights on the ground make sure you bow your knees.
