What is the best time to do cardio ?

    Hi,
I’m 25 and didn't make a minute of sport during the past 5 years.
i decided to start a little cardio, so I bought an apartment bike, so I’m sure I will do it regularly.

What is the best time to do the cardio exercise?
Ideally, I would like to do it at like 10pm before my daily shower (I go to bet 3 hours after). Is it ok ? Is it a problem If I had my diner 2 hours before at 8pm ?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Koros

To lose body fat do cardio first thing in the morning upon awakening on an empty stomach.

For greatest cardiovascular adaptation, train in the afternoon.

But it the best answer for you is whenever you can. If 10pm suits your schedule then so be it. The difference in times of day vs adaptation are not hugely different.

About the dinner thing. 2 hours should be more than enough time to let your stomach settle if that's what you're worried about. It feels good to burn off some energy and go into a nice deep sleep.

My most effective cardio workouts to shed weight has been first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Buuut that's not always practical or even possible, so as others have said, "when you can" is pretty well the standard answer here

Is your main goal fat loss or increasing your CV health?

Thanks for your answers. I agree that the "when one can" method is interesting: better to do it when one can than never because you can't at a particular time.

    Mostly CV improvement and health.

I'd say about any time would be just fine, then.
