    precautionary equipment

Aside from good form, what does everybody else use equipment wise to limit injury. i was thinking of getting something to lower the tension on my knees just as a precautionary, not that im feeling pain but i dont wwant to burn them out when i go heavy in those couple sets in the 4-6 rep range.. ?

I use wrist wraps when doing max bench and it helps tremendously.

i only use wrist straps for shrugs, deads, maybe back exercises, i have weak grip strength so i try to strengthen then without the grips, but going heavy on those exercises its almost necesssary

I do the hip sled for heavy work... i'll place the palms of my on the outside of my knees with an ever slow press inwards to help stabilize.. seems to be about all i need.. but i'm not that heavy.. 1200 for 6-8 reps.. but that's on the high end, i usually stay in the 800 lbs range when doing that exercise..

only equipment is hooks and gloves..

what has the hooks done for me?? increased the weight i lift and changed the dimensions of my back..

it also though has decreased my hand grip strength and decreased my forearm diameter.. the only good thing about that is that it has corrected my golf game significantly, with less muscle i don't over torque on my swing..

here it is page 108 spy, about using weight training belts

"exercises that involve a degree of flexion in the low back should not be performed with a weight bel as the vertebrae in the low back are not allowed to flex as they are intended to do. this couldn result in lower back injury"
