    The Hamstrings...

This is something I have decided to attack with ferocity since I am lacking in it so I will be splitting myy leg workouts to two different days...

    One for Quads...

    One for Hamstrings...

I feel that it is a necessity ... at this point.. a 6 day training split.. Day 1- Chest, Day 2- Quads, Day 3- Arms, Day 4- Hamstrings and Abs, Day 5- Shoulders, Day 6- Off Day, Day 7- Back.

Ok so.. Let's look at my hamstring proposed workout..

Stiff Leg Deadlifts - 4 sets
Seated Leg Curls - 3 sets
    Lying Leg Curls- 3 sets
Standing One Leg Curl - 2 sets each leg

Total 12 sets (not including warmup sets) that is 12 WORKING sets !!

What do you guys think ??

6 days a week? For me thats too much. I like a good ole 4 splitt. And do legs in one training session. Same for arms.

Personally I'm not a big fan of splitting the two apart...

    Why?

    Based on?

Not a well-thought out split IMO.

Particularly where the recruitment (and recovery) of secondary support musculature is concerned.

Quad day will recruit hamstring muscle... It really makes little sense hitting hams just 2 days later.

Another thing... If your goal is to prioritize hams, you really should consolidate the other days to minimize CNS overload.

e.g. Lump back and arms together, and delts and tris together.

No need for a 6 day split.
