Energy drain with workout getting worse
It seems every time i start to work out consistently (mostly when I'm including push-ups/crunches/squats)
My workout gets more and more tiring and it keeps getting worse till i dont have the energy to workout any more.
I eat fairly well and sleep average of 8 hours / day i'v tried sleeping 7 8 9 10 and even 11-12 hours and it doesn't help me restore the energy i once had just gives me a big headache if i sleep over 9 hours
I'm only 18 so I should have lots of energy but sadly i feel really drained! and nearly all the time!
EDIT: i workout 5 days MTWRF / week with the day on day off / muscle group method
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks!Last edited by southwind; 12-08-2011 at 03:10 AM.

I am in decent shape, and my diet consists of staying away from all sugar drinks i only drink coke zero/died dr pepper etc.
my average meal consists of protein and carbs not as much green as i would like tho, (steak, baked fries/potato/cream corn etc)
I try eating as many small snack meals / day instead of full large meals and i eat the smallest meal for dinner and a large! breakfast.
I dont take any supplements atm either.

What about ur fat intake, what type of carbs do you take in and when..
Do you take any stimulants?
Do you get quality sleep, not a broken sleep?
Do u suffer from depression or anything like that?

I usually have cereal like raisin bran or a muffin with a few other things for breakfast and potatoes/fries (baked) for dinner or brown chicken/prawn fried rice occasionally not too often stuff like that mostly
I dont think i take any stimulants, what would qualify?
I allways sleep deeply i never get up in the middle of the night except once in a while for the bathroom
Not really depressed or overly excited about life just in the middle.
Fat intake, what do you mean by this?
