Squats & Dead Lifts on the same day...

So lately I have tried it both ways. I have either spit them up or done them both on the same day. While both are compound movements, I find that I am more consistent by doing both on the same day. When I split them up there tends to be weeks where I don't do one or the other. Any thoughts based on your own routine?

I did them both on the same day for a while. That was while I was hitting muscle groups twice a week. Now that I'm back on once a week training I split them up and do deads on back day. The biggest difference I see is I am able to go heavier with higher reps on my deads now on their own.

I say split them. Both are such taxing exercises that when I do them on the same day, I find my form is really compromised on whichever I do second.

Also, why would you want to do them on the same day? Split them up and give them each the attention that they deserve.

I say do them on the same day.

It really depends what program you are doing though. I squat 2-3 times a week and deadlift about half of that so they do fall on the same day half the time. I would recommend squatting first when you do them on the same day.
