Hey just trying to get my head around the concept of drop sets, can anyone help me out,
    Say I'm training chest
    Decline BB press 4 sets
    Incline DB press 4 sets
    Flat flyes 3 sets
    Incline flye 3 sets

Now is this right or wrong say. I'm gonna do a drop set on decline would it be
4sets, drop weight, another set, drop weight, another set.
So in total that actually 6 sets
Or do I do my first decline set, drop set he last 3 to total 4sets?

    Hopefully it makes sets!
It's just an example I would mostly only drop once.

Ok thanks I usually do a feel/warm set
Then I'll do 2 drop sets to failure! So a total of 3.

Now can u use drop sets every week? Or like is every other week better?

Do u do drop sets on every Excersise or just on compounds or just on isolations?
    Mix it up each workout?

i would try to change my routine every 6 weeks or so,

as for dropsets, theres no one way of doing them, i usually use dumbells, start off with a warm up set, then do 1 set of heavy weights, then do another set of heavy weight and then immediately triple dropset. so eg:

    flat dumbell chest press
1st set (warm up) 20kg dumbells, 12-15 reps
    1 minute rest
    2nd set 40kg dumbells, 7-8 reps
    1 minute rest
    3rd set 40kg dumbells, 6-8 reps
    no rest
    1st dropset 30kg dumbells, 6-8 reps
    no rest
    2nd dropset 20kg dumbells, 6-8 reps
    no rest
3rd dropset 10kg dumbells, 8-10 reps (or as many as you can to complete and utter failure)

    p.s. this will HURT...alot..

then take a 3-5 minute rest, then id go decline and repeat (with dumbells as i find this easier), then incline.

as kronik said theres no real set way of doin them....but as said mix it up every so often to keep the body guessing....but as for doin them every day or for every exercise I would only do em like that if I was short on time and needed to get my sets in

So If ur not short on time, best bet is to do ur normal sets with a min rest Inbetween instead of drop setting?

you can still do drop sets either way... it's an easier way to reach failure if you don't have a spotter to help you with forced reps..

either way, try to change up your routine every so often.

Yeah that's what I'm looking for.
I train alone, so help me reach failure,
Guess it's about mixing it up.

My 2 cents on drop sets. After laterals, we use the Smith machine for shoulder presses. We start with 25s and go up 10lbs per set. Once we've maxed out( usually 5 dimes a side), we get a guy on each side and as soon as your spent, we pull off a dime (or 2 sometimes) and just keep pumping till your down to 35 and do as many as you can with just 25lbs also. Shoulders are wasted after that.
