having a boyfriend training for a competition is hard :( -help
ok so my boyfriend has about 6 weeks to go till his first competition and it wasnt really hard in the beginning.. but now its getting harder for me.. he eats every 3 hours, does cardio usually in the morning at his house.. then goes to the gym at night with his workout buddy. i seriously see him for like 2-3 hours maybe 3 times a week, and i know space is good, but its really hard for me and ive been really sad latley and i think a big reason is becuase i miss him and i dont get to spend that much time with him and wen we are together latley.. we stay in and sit or lay around. i talked to him about it and he's the best and he got me to smile but i still miss him and it not being all about bodybuilding all the time.. at the same time tho.. i understand that he has this competition comming up soon that hes really dedicated and looking forward to and im so proud of him. we dont even have sex anymore. i told him he needs to go buy the condoms since i did the past few times. we only have a few condoms left and they suck so i wont have sex till he gets the better ones so it can be enjoyable! maybe that has somethin to do with why ive been so sad to? i seriously dont think we have had sex in 3 weeks.. were young.. and should do it all the time.. were both just not up to it... i duno whats wrong.. but i cant wait for this competiton to be over so i can have my boyfriend back. are there any girls here who have boyfriends into the sport or n e one who can give me some good words of encouragement maybe? i miss my boyfriend

We'll I guess just be supportive and let him do his thing. Otherwise, move on. Seems like you are pretty cool GF. But you could cook his meals OR go to the gym with him instead of just bitching about never getting to see him, take action and take interest in what he is revolving his life around. Simple.

i dont understand how training could separte two people to that extent. is he literally always in the gym a few hours every day? maybe you could start working out with him on a regular basis. that way you can spend quality time with him talking and bonding while he does what he has to do.

Don't know what kind of words of encouragement you'll get here.
As a competitor of 7 years i know how hard it is to maintain a relationship under the duress of contest prep.. It's doable.. but it requires input from both parties. He's got to be considerate where possible (i.e. recognise that bodybuilding is not the only important aspect of his life... allowing some time for other things of importance). You've got to make an effort to assist his prep so y'all have more time. Hit cardio with him. I know cardio is the most boring part of my prep. When my girl hits it with me it eases the boredom... Convo Makes it go faster. Maybe Cook his meals. Buy the gatdamned condoms for Pete's sake. That's the part that stood out most. You can't honestly miss him that much... yet refuse to buy the condoms you enjoy simply because you 'bought 'em the last time'.

Marisa, why don't you learn about AAS that way you can help setup his cycles in the future. Do you not workout or eat well? Maybe you to don't have much in common?
