I was thinking about joining back up in the airforce. Pay isnt that bad, base life isnt that bad, and airforce has to be 100 times better than Marines. I probably wont, but not having a job is making me think about it. Some desk job to keep me out of Iraq, even though probably only like 3 AF people have been killed

i just got out about 6 months ago after 4 years and im kicking myself for not getting the god dam GI bill. If you don't get it when you first join you cant change you mind a few months later so im considering going in the National Guard to get a 15grand signing bonus for 6 years and of course the GI bill. Right now im trying to get some grants for school for being a vet but if that doesn't work out i might go back in and if i do that I'll probably end up trying to go back to my old unit, 504th PIR baby, STRIKE HOLD!!

GI BILL is the greatest investment you could ever make, what else can you put 1800 dollars into and 4 years later its worth 44,100???

M.M.I is a great program plus the GI Bill will cover the entire cost so you can't beat that

Actually it won't and if they tell you it will there lying to you. You get 1225 a month, so 14,700 a year, you cant get it any faster or get any up front, M.M.I cost around 30,000 for like a year and a few months so you will have plenty of money for the GI Bill to cover it, except you can't get to it fast enough and M.M.I isn't long enough to use all 36 months of benefits. My friends that are at U.T.I joined the National Guard down there because the guard pays for their school while they are in, and they are just pocketing the GI Bill now. But they ran into the same problem, they thought it would cover it but it wont.

well the M.M.I program is a year a half and the total cost is $21,305, and at 1225 a month for 18 months I collect $22,050 total. I'm doing the Harley program so I'm not sure what program your buddies are doing but I'm covered as far as the GI Bill.
