I don't want to be the first in a huge thread with everyone arguing over what is truth and what isn't, so I will put what I believe. Everything came from something, whether it was an incredibly dense ball of mass, or a being that existed before anything or anyone else. Personally I feel that both explanations are very far fetched and choose the latter simply because that is what I believe. Nothing more than personal opinion and until someone proves otherwise (which is pretty much impossible) that is what I will believe. I live my life just as I would whether or not I believed in God because although I do not practice religion often, I still try to be a somewhat decent person and do what I can for people.

well basically I don’t believe there's anything after death and I don’t believe in ghosts ether, there’s just not enough evidence, for one! we are led to believe a ghost is a soule or spirit, so why isn’t there loads of pictures of animal ghost’s? where are the cat ghosts dogs even fly’s? I never seen any is that because the don’t have soles????? I think god and all religion was created by man as evolution progressed and man became intelligent enough to create it them selves....

whoa! just because you cant or dont see physical evidence doesnt mean it is not possible. anything is possible. religion and studies of religions sometimes proves humans have through out time fabricated stories about god, but not every example,miracle, sighting of a supernatural event can be cited as man making up story.there is more than meets te eye, if all the unexplainable was so easy to understand, we wouldnt have unexplainable events, which we all know still exist. back in my scientific days,in undergrad, i started to believe all answers of life could be explained by a book or backed by science, to say as i got older and wiser, i learned that the exact opposite is true. we are human, we do not know even the begining of the extent of the universe, god,or the unexplained.laws of science and physics that exist today can be gone tomorow. nothing is concrete. i am not a "holy man" purse' but do believe the answers to life ans death are as explainable as a text book !not by a LONG shot!!!

now dont get wraped up in this, but the person who believes in creationism would argue the exact opposite. that humans were chosen and we didnt evolve from apes(i do NOT believe this at all)

the truth is no one can truly prove either.there is a lot of great scientific study that really backs up evolution,but evolution can be flawed.cretionim really doesnt have science to back it up,bt science has been flawed before through out time. it is a no win situation.believe whatever works for you

To much wierd shit has happened in my family for me to totaly dismiss ghosts. I dont belive ghost phenomenons(if it exist) is supernatural though. Just another natural phenomenon that has yet to be explained.

But for every year that passes I get more and more sceptic. If we can see, hear or touch ghosts then we can surely detect them with different equipments. But since this hasnt been done yet maby its just all in our minds.

Doc there isnt realy any one single succesfull scientific theory that has been proven wrong in history. Nothing can happen tomorrow that would invalidate the theories we have today. It would just modify them. The theories we have today has afterall been able to explain 99.9999% of all observed events.

I mean as a example. Einstein showed that newtons ideas wasnt the whole picture. But it doesnt mean newton was wrong. His theories is still used in every construction project on earth...

i would like to see a ghost too! i have seen enough real tv footage and read to many stories to dismiss the idea that the supernaturl may exist, just because i wasnt there live to see it doesnt give me the authority to say , it didnt happen. there are to many stories time and time again,the stories have to have some shread of truth to exist. unlike the stories of greek mythology which remain in the past,the stories of hauntings,ghosts, and other pranormal activty still are happening in present day!

I voted for nothing to happen after we die. Why should it? Are we really that arrogant to believe each of us can exist forever in some form or other. NOTHING lasts forever.

Its interesting that for those believe in Heaven and Hell that so many believe they're going to Heaven instead of Hell. IF there is a Heaven and Hell then its a lot less crowded in Heaven than it is in Hell.

And isn't it Christian doctrine to believe in the Reserection, which if im not mistaken is slightly contradictory to your soul spending the rest of eternity in either Heaven and Hell.

Also, i've always wondered in Islamic faith what happens to women when they die. I mean all this shit about men having 70 virgins and blahblahblah. What a load of crap. Some people I know who are Muslims have said they dont know, some say women go to Limbo or Hell and some say nothing happens to them.

as far as we know it cold be a penguin, it doesnt have to look or squack like a penguin to be the sole of that animal. also, how many penguins have you seen in your everyday life(not counting zoo's or TV) answer is zero, just becasue you never saw a penguin in your natural environment doesnt mean the penguin does not exist. how about animals like the mega mouth shark, or the cealocanth that was thought to be extinct? people never saw the megamout shark until the last 15 years, but we have to assume the creature just didnt appear witin that itme, the creature was around for thousands of years, humans just never saw one, same appleis to the cealocanth/nautilus.humans thought this animal was extinct, but we were wrong again. see my point?just because you or anyone else you know never saw or experienced something does not make it false or impossible,

I can relate. It would be nice to think that it's a just world where good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. It would be nice to imagine that there is an unltimate place for justice because we see how absurd things are in reality. There's this idea of karma or things getting back to you. I don't think that's always how it goes down. I think there were some currupt people who got through life enjoying everything to the hilt and destroying many lives along the way. Did he ever pay the price? My guess is that he died happy and in the end it all amounts to no-thing. A hard view but realistic.
