i know about all these guys like that because i have a lot of patients of Medicare age who are supporting their live at home children. guys in their 40's with no jobs or deadend jobs who mooch off their parents forever. it's sad, but too many parents spoil their kids.
my pop is two generations above me age-wise. when i was a teenager he always said 'when you're eighteen you're moving out." and there is something to be said for that attitude, even if it's not all cuddly and fuzzy.

The Q+A at dinner would have been comical if it wasn't so sad. As an idea:
me: so how long do you plan to live at home with your parents?
him: I really can't afford to move out on my own.
me: so are you looking into a career or a better job?
him: no, I like my job, I really don't have to do that much.

he works a lame job and lives at home, no overhead.
I talked to her about it, but since this guy came into her life she lost the ability to reason, at least for now. I hope you're right about it passing soon.
I better get some sleep, thanks for listening I just needed to vent.

Yes I guess you don't need a prescription for insulin .... just some of the newer brands you do... thats what I have found out.... was told to just go to the pharm and ask them for insulin and pins for my diabetes. Anything I should ask for specifically?

you would want to specify the type of insulin , I would guess "regular" but for non-diabetic purposes you may have other ideas, such as fast-acting Lispro.
you should of course have a glucometer and testing strips available. lancets for pricking your finger for testing.

I will be starting around 2IUs at first with my waize maxy/ protein shake of course. I will have so simple carbs on hand at all times just incase I go hypo. I was told and read you can get certain types of insulin without a prescription.. But things like Humalog R and another long acting insulin you can not. So IDK WTF to ask for.

i didn't even know you didn't need a prescription.
so just ask for "generic" regular insulin , or "i'd like generic version of Humulin-R"

BTW, "regular" insulin is actually a type of insulin, i'm not trying to sound stupid with that.
any pharmacist will know exactly what you are asking for if you just say "Regular" insulin, one vial.
