Sure... but not everywhere. And besides, I'm in Northern California. Sunny beaches and palm trees are down south. I'll see if I can find a pic of where I may be moving...

At the end of the Summer. I'm in the process of transferring to a better school. In fact, I got accepted to another one today. Choices, choices.

Here we surf with the sharks. It scares the piss out of people who aren't from here. The Great Whites breed here. Monster vicious sharks bump into you in the water. They barely ever bite someone.
And we go out on boats and fish and hang out with the otters.
And there's the seals and sea lions. Sea lions bark sort of like dogs, but louder.

They're pretty friendly and playful but I wouldn't try to pet one. They have wicked teeth and are still wild animals.

I was planning to rent a multiple bedroom house for part of the trip and invite friends to stay, but no such luck.

You guys just don't have ghettos and crime like we do. Europe looks a little soft.
-
02-08-2009, 05:33 AM #124219
oh we do have crime. and gettos but they dont show you that on documentaries or on tour guides.
But we dont have shooting everyday, thats true LOl

I doubt the crime is on the same level... and yeah, shootings are a national pastime here.

Something in American culture is tied very closely with guns. I have a loaded .45 pistol on my desk right now.
-
02-08-2009, 05:45 AM #124222
well, people here love guns. A lot of people (including myslef) have or have had gun permission and rifles but i just don't go outthere and shoot people. Not even at animals.
I just shoot to cans or some target.

I dunno. We're of the idea that guns solve problems. Mine are all for shooting people. Home defense. I don't hunt at all. Getting up early to shoot some living creature and then have to gut it? Doesn't sound like fun to me. I'll do it if I need the meat, sure, but not for recreation.

if i shooted someone even if if was defense i'll get to hail too fast, i'm considered expert shooter. Thats against you when on trial so i ust sold all my rifles. Not that bad, some good money. I guess a small 44 wouldn't harm though. I dont think its wrong to shoot/kill someone who wants to home assault/rob me. Is just who the hell would want to assault my shitting apt LOL

Here it depends on state law. Some states you can practically blow someone away for trespassing, others you can only shoot in fear for your life. In Cali, I'm not technically allowed to shoot someone for breaking into my house. They have to present a threat of physical harm (but dead men tell no tales). In Texas you could probably get away with shooting him in the back on your front lawn.

They also get to have all the cool guns there that we in Cali can't have.

Cali is a pretty liberal state. This comes with certain benefits and certain restrictions.
