Extra belly skin?

like i have sayed befor i have lost over 100lbs of fat and now i have some nasty extra belly skin will this go away as i keep up the cardio and lifting or did i need to get surgery ??

depends on your genetics, and other factors, age etc..

only time will tell..

ever watch the biggest loser?? a gal finally won, her body was incredibly tight, so it depends a lot on genetics..

ok what i was planing on doing is, i know i still have fat on me so i was gonna keep cutting till about 190 im at 208 now and if it is still bad i was gonna go to a doctor and ask what i should do

I would ask a doc if there is anything you can do. I believe the skin will only "bounce back" so far then after that it needs to be cut.

Sounds like you didn't lose it slowly and properly, a la "The Biggest Loser", but rather rapidly and probably through crash dieting...just speculating here, not flaming.

If the latter is true, it's yours forever (barring a nip/tuck). Only slow loss permits the skin to shrink as well.

I does depend on genetics. I have a friend who went from 200lbs down to 140. He has ZERO extra skin .

On the other hand I went from 220 to 180 and that was 7yrs ago I was 220. I have extra skin though. Aaarrrrggg!

Both of us are same age.

well i think it has to do with i was a fat ass for most of all my life and now im in the best shape of my life and i dont think i droped it to quick its been over the cores of a year but i think its just so streshed out from being being so long so i guess ill just have to see what happends and if i have to get suregy so be it i guess i have never felt like takeing my shirt off in public and it we be a nice change to do so

Hey Mike, I lost alot of weightand have some around my b-button area,sadly for me its gonna take a tummy-tuck to get rid of it. Fortunately I'm not that vain.At least not until I can gather up the money! Then I'll be one vain mother fukr!

man good job on that and ya im kinda brok right now 2 but i might go talk to a doc in a few mounths just to see what they say i still have a few pounds left so ill just keep busting ass at the gym and see what happends i guess i have like 20 more pounds to my goal than ill see what i look like there im trying to get to 190

hey bro i feel your pain...i dealt with excess skin for over 10 yrs...i recently had a tummy tuck to remove the skin and i couldnt be happier with the results! i can actually see my abs for the first time ever!!!

they actually give you a new belly button...its kinda weird and you will lose sensation in that area for a period of 6 months to a year...
