Hundreds of dollars washed away
Ok so my wife did a full load of laundry the other day. It had all my good jeans and shirts in the load. My wife never checks to see if i have left anything in my pockets. Well this time i did. I left 6 fish oil caps i forgot to take that day in my pocket.
Well needless to say all my clothing now smell like fish. (BAD). So we have washed the clothing like 4 times all ready trying different kinds of cleaners to get the smell out. None of them have worked at all. So i went to the cleaners to ask if they could get the smell out. They told me there was no way and i was wasting my time even trying.
So now i have no clue what to try next. I would hate to throw out all my shit. I have like 6 pairs of jeans worth like 90$ a pop, that now smell like fish ass.
If you have any ideas feel free i will give it a shoot.

Try baking soda and vinegar! It will get the smell out. Let the clothes soak in it for about a half hour then start the wash.

It ant like i can even yell at the wife for not checking my pockets. Its my fault i forgot them in the ****ing jeans.
Should i also use soap as well?

This is all Pinn's fvcking fault. The last time i did this it was flax oil caps and they dont stink. But no Pinn yells at me flax is shit take fish oil. So i did and no look.

"I used vinegar and a product called Bac-Out by Biokleen. It has live enzyme cultures and lime peel extract to clean and get rid of odors. I also poured an all natural vinegar in the wash and let them soak about 30 minutes before washing with Bac-Out and an all natural laundry detergent. The Bac-Out got rid of the fish smell and the vinegar smell, which I can't stand."
"I had my husband do the same thing to my clothes and I am in the process of trying to get it out, Well I have figured it out. I went to the hardware store and bought LESTOIL. It is cheap and worked great. It smells like pinesol but just wash yet again in normal detergent and voila! Hope this helps"
"White vinegar and hot water work if used alone. You can not add it to the detergent or softener though. It will deactivate it.
Either do a pre soak or in place a fabric softener. If it doesn't work you did something wrong."
"I tried everything, finally bought a product called Zero Odor and it did the trick!"
-
"LESTOIL! for some reason oil removes oil!
After that it is easy to re-wash a couple of times and get theLestoil smell out!
NEVER USE THE DRYER THROUGH this PROCESS!
Do not use the dryer until you are happy with the results or you are stuck with what you get!"

Clorox bleach for colors. Let it soak for an hour or more before running the load.
