    Dark Knight review

INEXPLICIBALE...but you know me, I'll try!

Extraordinarily, and exemplarily electrifying, a conscientiously inautonomous (not actually a word, but there are multiple enduring allusions to Batman Begins) film that's unequivocally transcendent on every single possible theatrical level.

And duly dismiss even the plausibility of a sympathetic posthumous Oscar nomination for Heath. His performance was sublimely SUPERB, so much so that if it doesn't garner at LEAST a nomination (I fully expect him to win), it would be an egregious oversight of monumentally epic proportion!

I confidently predict that this movie will usurp all present major box office records in magnanimous fashion.

A MARVEL (pun because it's from DC) FROM START TO FINISH!

Heath was the shit. He played Joker quite well.

Now if only Batman had some throat lozenges...
lol I couldn't stop laughing every-time he talked. It was just too cheesy.

    But yeah, awesome movie.

I loved Batman Begins, but 2 1/2 hrs of dark knight was a bit much. Movie was decent but way over hyped! It could have been split in to two movies.

totally agree. saw the matinee show today and i was floored. ledger was amazing.

a very gripping film, very dark. not your typical comic book cookie cutter superhero movie.

very well highlighting the inner struggles of batman and the difficulties of morality

Right on both. I have never been a Heath fan, but this role.... wow, thats all I can say.... wow. As for Batmans voice, hahaha, seriously, it was hurting MY throat when he talked, a bit over done there. Great movie though.

I agree completely. I have never been a fan of his work.....but THIS....this rendition of the Joker is incredible! I just got back from seeing it about an hour ago and I'm still in shock and awe.

I thought is was pretty could but nothing to write home about. I like Heath and I think he did a good job but I think his performance is getting blown out of proportion because of his death.

Wow, to be honest, his performance far exceeded my expectations and his death has nothing to do with it. He was simply brilliant! If he doesn't get an oscar, I will be SHOCKED!

I agree, he should def. get an oscar... Before I went to see the movie I knew people would hype up his role cause of his death, but after seeing it with an open mind, I don't think you could hype his roll up enough. He was amazing and made the whole movie!!!

You know what freaked me out? If you go on youtube and watch all of the intervies Heath did after the movie and before he died you will notice a serious problem with him moving around, scratching his arms, and acting like he couldn't take 2 seconds of being in his own skin.
Wish this dude would have saw a therapist.

    agreed.

he looks like a mental patient in this video. the role must have really screwed with him or he had a lot of problems going into it.

still, a fantastic performance, but damn, what a tragedy.

I've heard a rumor that his role as the joker got him to that point.
That he was so into his part, that he couldn't get any sleep, and he started living the joker outside the movie set
    Drove himself crazy, and OD'ed....

Saw it tonight & thought it was phenomenal. Heath Ledger - R.I.P.

Such a wonderful performance. I'm an Aussie too so his death hit home a little because i love all his other movies.

I've heard that to get right into the role of the character he didn't sleep for a week or so & was taking heaps of sleeping pills to look deranged.

My mom said something about that the other day and i was like wow then i realized it was heath that played the joker, guess its possible but i think you would prob have some underlying issues to let a movie character control your entire life, imo

Actually its partially right he didnt start living the joker life, he got into this character so much that even when he was no in the set he was still playing the joker. Also he got so interested on the joker that he started reading and reading about the joker to the point that he found out how "dark" the character was that he couldnt sleep and stuff like that. He would have nightmares and some other shit. Thats when he started taking sleeping aids and stuff like that and boom thats when he OD'ed. That's my two cents on what I have heard. Regardless its a pretty messed up situation what happen to him. R.I.P. to me that is a true dedicated actor.
