    A Question for the ladies...

What do women prefer, guys with bulky chest or six pack?

six pack abs are such a gimmick if a guy is tiny.

getting a huge chest takes a lot more work and makes you look ten times better imo.

any scrawny guy can rip up to 10% bf but it takes a hell of a lot more work to get a chiseled chest and abs to boot.

Good point, I see lots of guys walking around with no shirt on because they are so skinny, their abs stick right out, but their chest looks like a pre-pubescent 12 year old

I couldn't agree more. Skinny guys think they're mad cause they have a "6 pack", and do not realise that the rest of their body sucks.

I could easily diet down and get the 6 pack. The problem with that is that if a strong gust of wind comes by it will knock me on my @$$. I no longer dream of the 6er but focus more on my overall growth.

Nova, made a good point on this thread recently.... Can you bulk up and keep the abs? "abs are usually a sign of malnutrition." Its cool if you wanna make em pop for a competition or rock em out for the summer for a couple months or whatever. But constanly maintaining a six pack seems unhealthy and unecessary to me.....I remember talking to a male fitness model on here not too long ago and he was saying how he maintains 4-5% year round bc he has to. Then he goes on to say how he doesnt have any energy....Well no shiiit bro, thats bc your starving yourself!

Hmmm! not to go against the grain, but I disagree .. i know many "skinny" guys with six packs that train much harder most big boys . Any muay thai fighter trains like a beast. They look like a strong wind could put them on their ass, but we all know looks can be deceiving. I fight anywhere between 155-170, and it is definetly not a joke for me to make weight at the lower end of the spectrum.

I wont disagree with you on that. Cutting down in any respect for any sport (body building included) IMO is much more difficult than putting on size. Training while in a caloric defiict and/or with depleted glycogen store is no fun at all. And I also will agree that any type of professional fighter at the top of his/her game is an elite athlete.............Buuutttt back to the question at hand, which we all kind of got away from, it just depends on the girl. Ive heard both sides....And as evidenced by the responses on here, most would say BOTH, lol.

women cant see your 6 pack with a shirt on. And 98% of the time you will have ashirt on unless you live by the beach or work at a pool or similar. I also got a lot more attention with a bigger chest and arms. I do work out for myself and personal reasons, but lets not kid ourselves, we all like attention from women and that is one of many motivating factors. Unless you powerlift i guess

I don't have a prob picking up chicks.. but to be honest, the number of chicks who hit on me was way higher when i was small.

When i used to model and i was in the 150 lb area that was 'just perfect' according to most chicks.

Women preferred me smaller.. defined, but not stage-shredded.

    Now i'm 200+ they think it's extreme.

If i used to be bothered about what women thought, I'd still be walking around looking like i should be working for A&F.

I would rather be longer and leaner, more a wide reciver or under ware modle build than someone that looks like they can out pull a truck.

And I do it for the ladies, lol.

I focus on the bigger chest but that's cuz I do it for myself. I was scrawny for too many years. I don't really get compliments from women except at that gym. But if I'm out at a bar women have asked if I have six pack abs, that's all they seemed to care about.

Your opinion might be somewhat biased DSM

Although I agree entirely. Who gives a fuk, what do YOU want. Personally I could give a fuk, whatever im stronger with. That just happens to be a big barreling chest.
