and me and my buddies, who are white (once again not that i think it matters).. go to bufflo wild wings when they have specials and always getting shitty service because the mostly female staff usually just sit and joke around instead of thinking that nomatter what the deals are they still have a job to do..

we have a general rule when we hang out that its 20% of the bill plus five dollars per person for every hour we sat there taking up a table.. but at wild wings you can't do that because you usually are waitting to get your food not sitting around hanging out for that long

i can only speak for the ones in orange park, gainesville, and orlando floirda.. those are the ones i got to from time to time.

Ahh, Gainesville. In the 80's there used to be a bar down there called Dub's. Women were everywhere. If you didn't talk to a girl in that place it was because you just plain lazy.

That is a cultural difference........ A lot of restaurants in Britain put a service charge on the bill, so there are no tips, unless the service was outstanding.
When the Brits go to the States they are not used to tipping so they don't bother to tip!!!!

Um...I think there's a more of a correlation between the price of the wings (it is after all 25 cent wing night) and the amount of the tip than between the color of the persons skin and the amount of the tip. A patron on that particular night, whether white or black, is there for the bargain and not to spend a lot of money. Just my opinion.

In my experience as a waiter, I've found that French people tip horribly, but that's not bigotted or nationalistic. They're used to having the tip added on the bill before it's given to them, something I was told after serving a family of 8. On a $250.00 bill I was given $3 by a French family, which led me to start adding the service charge based on nationality (usually european). Anyone can say what they want about that, but I don't give my labor away for free.

It's not the race or skin color that makes races different, it's the up brining and the culture that they are raised in. Mexican's have very close family ties, normally the grandma and grandpa live with the rest of the family. That's why there van's are always full at Wal Mart.

A racist is not some one who recognizes cultural differences. It's someone who feels they are better than someone because of the SKIN color. Or hates someone based of their skin color.

But also, white people who think they're black don't tip either.

My bar has hip hop shows a couple times a month and I refuse to work them, I had the same policy last place I worked. They come in and treat you like complete shit, ask a million stupid questions, complain about their drinks not being strong enough, and then tip you nothing. It's bullshit and no way for people to behave in a bar. And by "they" I mean the entire hip hop crowd, black and white.

lol, for a few reasons actually. A club will get "burnt out" to people if it has the same type night every night of the week. people like mixing it up and going to other clubs. So you ideally want one or two popular nights of the week where everyone knows to go to your club. The other nights you still need to make money. so a lot of clubs do a hip hop night, some do a gay night, some do a gothic night, etc. Now people involved in those scenes will make our club the hot spot for those nights. This way the club has a good crowd as many nights of the week as it can.

However, since hip hop nights generally dont generate a lot of money from the bar, a lot of the clubs double or triple the entry fee. One club I work at has a big dance room separated from the other dance rooms and the only way to get up is for you and your friends to buy a bottle of moet for 80 bucks. (And no its not a vip room) Again, this was all in response to the crowd not buying drinks or tipping.

Security gets paid more than usual which is why some guys work. Bartenders get forced to work almost as punishment. If they dont do a hip hop shift, they won't be given a shift on one of the good nights.

Also, In certain areas a lot of the clubs are financially connected in some way, so owners from clubs in one area will sometimes have each of the clubs have a hip hop night on different nights of the week. One on thurs, another club on fri, and another on sat. that way it will keep the hip hop crowd out of the other clubs on their good nights and keep the crowd happy.

Once you accept you like people who are like you and think like you, you accept the fact that there are people who DON'T think like you.
I'm more to prone to think someone who says they aren't racist is racist than someone like this who simply states facts of life.

There was a story i heard in one of my classes the other day. It was about a teacher who worked at a very diverse school. He was a great teacher, and received really good ratings from his students. However, outside of school, he participated in white supremicist rallies, celebrated hitlers birthday...and some other things like that. However, in school, he treated the students equal, and was a very good teacher. Take in mind too that he worked in a culturally diverse school. He claimed that he went to school to teach and do his job, and thats it. What he did at home was what he did at home. He was fired over it though..
