Haven't been on this site in years, but when I was a regular member swolecat was always around offering advice on diets and training. I thought i'd stop by to pay my respects. Rest in Peace Swole..

Holy shit! I always looked up to Chris. I remember his posts from back in 2002 when I joined this board and didn't know anything about anything. He had a couple of interviews in muscle magazine, was featured in ********, the guy really knew his shit. I am ****ing saddened by this, I can't believe it.

Is anyone in the know at liberty to share the cause of death? That guy really knew his shyt. Helpedalot of bros with his diet tips. I never heard of this cat but nonetheless, a very sad situation. It seems like from the posts I've read he was a very helpful asset to many of the members and even though some may have not not agreed w/ his views but that's ok not everyone will. Condolences to his wife and son and the rest of his family and friends in this dire time. R.I.P. Swole.

that does suck. He was a pretty smart guy. His posts back in the day amused me as he was quick to call people out on their BS. Sad to hear.

Just for those that dont know SC used to be a mod here, he was a particular guru in the Diet section. He left and started up his own board a couple of years ago.

K, this is just kinda hitting me now... I read this a few days ago, and it is just starting to hit me now. It is actually making me look back on my own life, and making me ask... "why kind of legacy will I leave behind?" "will I still be alive when I am 37?"etc....
Wow SWOLECAT, you will be missed, and to think I was talking about you the other day at the gym with fellow board members... RIP buddy. RESPECT AND LOVE to his family too.

My love and prayers go out to his family. He was too young, and had so much potencial in this world. SC will be missed...

Agreed.
Just the hours prior to hearing about Chris, my then significant other told me that I worked too hard...and that I'd make my wife (should i ever get married) a rich widow.
Hearing about Chris shortly after really made me think about thinks.
It put stuff in perspective.

Damn this is so sad. I wish I stayed in touch with him when he left here. I talked to him a few times on myspace but i deleted my myspace account. Anybody friends with him on there and maybe it says how he passed. I am guessing it must have been a slightly unfortunate way if Nark wont share.

I couldn't agree more. His death is making me re-evaluate myself, perhaps future decisions... and what kind of legacy I will leave behind. This is a whole new perspective for me...
Just the other night, I was talking with a guy at the gym about this board, and one of the mutual guys we really liked was SWOLECAT, naturally... and we talked about him, and how great his knowledge was, and literally 12 hours later I find out he died. unreal. I'm really gonna miss the guy.

There were so many love/hate threads started directed toward him in the workout section, because of his gruesome leg workout. Threads titled "FvCK YOU SWOLECAT!," and "I HATE YOU SWOLECAT!" I still can't believe this. I think we can all assume this was a suicide, considering what Nark said, and the fact that none of the sites are talking about it.

Yeah that makes senseHis workouts were so tuff no one liked him after they tried them.Ever think that the way someone dies is something that should be kept within the family? That's a real immature statement buddy.Have a little respect for the mans wife and kid.UNBELIEVABLE..
