They are great loyal dogs but very full of energy and can be high strung. Avoid bloodlines with field trail champions as they tend to be very energetic and some times a bit on the Alpha side. I have had them for house dogs and they love it. Females are much easier going in this breed. AKC is now reckognizing a black and white version I believe. I have only seen 2 but they were beatiful dogs. If your ever in the market give me a shout.
