Soooo the bike is fukked.

Found a bend in the frame underneath neck. Which explains the reason the rake of the wheel is so off.

Now I need to consider my options.

1. Kill the kid I bought it from.

2. Rob the kids garage and steal his 3 other bikes in it to pay for a new bike.

3. Take the kid to court and waste a lot of time and money.

4. Buy a new frame and switch everything over. Which will take me forever and lots more money.

5. Modify a few things on the radiator mounting, trees and forks to make the bike ridable and just ride it as is.

Well I just texted him.

Hes swearing up and down that he had no idea and that he rode it with the front end messed up all last summer.

So Im still waiting on the new stem and triple tree...

Ill put it all back together when that comes in, and see if I can get it ridable.

But I told him that if it isnt easily fixed by me... I will be seeing him around.

Get bike back into riding status.

Make sure I have full insurance.

Then roll the bike down a hill into a wall.

Insurance totals it and bam i get a check.

better yet make it minor but it gets totaled because of frame damage. Buy the totaled bike from whomever tows it. Use your check to buy a frame. Put it back together walk away with some cash and a fully functional bike.. I know a guy that works at Robs automotive in bristol. You can do this.

Option 3, small claim court is not that much, $35 and you can get up to $3500 or $5000, depending on where you are at.
You have to prove he knew it was bent though.

He even says he took it to a shop after his girl laid it down and they said frame was fine.

So I would need to get evidence that the shop did say it was fine... and then probably sue them.

take the bike and park it at a bar. go home and call the cops. tell them the bike was stolen out of your driveway. wait till they find it and then call the insurance company, tell them it was stolen and then found wrecked at a bar.

or

Find somebody with a landscaping trailer. put the bike on the trailer and then haul ass till it falls off. then call the insurance company.
