So I was over at my moms house today, and on the table was some mail addressed to my brother, I guess she had opened it. Inside was a CD from NSM (National Socialist Movement) records.

The CD includes hits such as (and I'm not joking): Heil Hitler, Aryan Girl, White Power Skinheads, I Hate ******s, Achtung Juden, Ready For War...you get the picture.

He's also apparenty been sporting some Hitler haircut and stomping around in boots.

Keep in mind we live in Miami, FL...so as you can guess he doesn't get much attention from the ladies acting like that, as the majority of the population here is either directly from Cuba, or fewer than 3 generations removed.

My younger sister tells me he also frequently listens to some racist country hick garbage music, quite loudly.

He's always been kind of weird, socially awkward and never had any confidence. I don't know if the right approach is to beat the living shit out of him (which my dad would do, were he alive), ignore it, or talk to him? He shuts down the minute you try to bring anything out of him.

I find it highly offensive he that buys into this garbage, and more so that he is boastful about it. Of course, as with most of these types of people, he'd never play this music or voice his thoughts in front of any of the minorities that this type of propaganda garbage targets.

For the first time ever I find myself disgusted with a member of my close family. I really don't know what to do, if I should do anything at all. I don't live with them so it doesn't directly affect me...but it's still pretty insulting.

Do I like to think, no I know they are something they aren't. I think you're right. it is one of those hot button topics like religion, gays in the military, etc. Some are just looking for attention, and that definitely gets it.

my 2cents? Sounds like he's a social misfit and never fit anywhere. Just like churches, these weirdo's will take just about anyone in ifn the color of the skin is what they are looking for. So they accepted him. And he feels accepted. I doubt there is anything you can do to change that. Anything short of an intervention probably won't work. I just had a thought I know you all will jump on me for, but up front, i'm just saying i don't mean anything by it. But too bad a real hot woman of color (assuming she would even look at such a reject) but too bad this theoritical woman wouldn't notice him, take him in, let him know that, hey baby, when the lights go out, we all the same. Pretty hard to be a racist if you have the hots for a woman that just happens to belong to some category you are trying to marginalize.

I've lived in various places around the world, and have been fortunate enough to have been able to sample the women from each of these places. The bottom line is women are women, and if they are hot, doesn't really matter how much pigment is in their skin.

I find a lot of wannabe supremists like to use the "ideals" as an excuse for not being able to accel at life due to laziness and then start pointing fingers... then again, the worst thing to be in America is a white male right now, no rights, but you can be damn sure we are doing somethng to offend a minority =)... we all grow up eventually. Hopefully we learn to get along in the meantime

Most People including Germans absolutely have no Idea what the National Socialist Party actually stood for before Hitler perverted their cause. In fact most dont know that the Nazi Party members didnt call themselves Nazi's. The English and American press used it as a derogatory term for the National Socialist Movement. So in effect anyone that calls them a self professed Neo-nazi is really infact degrading their own identity.

I'm not sure he gets picked on, he just has no confidence in himself at all. He's got years of martial arts under his belt but is still unsure of himself in a fight. He'll talk about wanting to fight someone for 3 weeks (literally), and ask anyone and everyone "how" he should fight whoever it is at the time, and then one day he'll just stop talking about it.

Girls don't want anything to do with him, because he's such a weird guy and becomes obsessive very fast, so of course they drop him. This pisses him off, and he just acts even weirder as a result.

We live in Miami, grew up here, born and raised. Spanish is a daily part of life here, it angers him to hear it spoken. Yet, he attempts to date nothing but indias (darker skinned hispanic girls), then turns around and spews racist garbage when they arent around???? All his friends are hispanic, except for one who is Jewish. So I don't really understand wtf his angle is.

He has seen American History X, but is especially interested in WW2 films...who would have guessed? It's perplexing because we've got many family members from both England and here that fought in WW2 to stop the spread of this crap.

Everything we have has come from military support of our family since our father passed away about 10 years ago.

Here's the other thing: He recently dropped out of college, which is fully paid for, to become a working-class blue collar guy, which by itself isn't the best choice, but hey it happens. But when you combine it with all this stuff, it seems as if he's trying to force himself into an image that someone has demonstrated to him. I guess skinheads wouldnt think you're cool if they knew that you're a spoiled kid from an upper-middle class family who has never had to worry about anything?

You need to talk to him and see if you can get him out of the house and get him a productive hobby. Have you ever tried to get him into the gym with you? As his older brother it is your job to be his father figure since your is no longer with you guys.

I did manage to get him in the gym when I was trying to help him become normal and more confident in himself. But, he won't actually work out. He spends a few hours there floating around and talking to whatever dude will listen to him talk. I tried a few years ago to get him into rugby, but he quit that because of an on-field issue with one of my Australian team-mates that he took personally. He embarrassed himself and could muster up the balls to show his face again afterwards.

I didn't know about how rapidly this whole skinhead/neo-nazi thing had progressed, as I don't live with him and have my own busy life.

I confronted him about the CD earlier tonight, he swears up and down it's just a joke, but I find that hard to believe...as he's taking the joke kind of far with the hair cut and the boots.
