Lets see your Christmas spirit
OK I didnt get to do my usually Halloween due to the LOUSY weather and lots of rain all week so I did a little extra this year for Christmas.
It's not a show stopper by any means or one of those you will ever see on the news. As a matter of fact just 2 blocks from me there is a guy who has been on the news and has at least $10K into his. Mine is pretty simple and basic but has some good curb appeal. I get people stopping and actually coming up to the house every day asking me how I did the light display on the garage. lol
It's not done, it's a work in progress because it's STILL been raining a lot which makes it hard to get much done especially when you have to crawl around on the roof.
Let me know what you think. What should I add??

Yeah the neighbor said 1st morning he woke up thinking the police were outside. lol Actually I have had several who said they can see it from their bedroom and like it. Yeah strange. Mostly I get these women stopping by to compement and ask how I did the laser lights.

Haha I love the air filter, that's a classic touch. You need to add some dip sticks and maybe a timing chain or 2.
Yes actually I do plan on adding some more lights to the roof. I have a bunch of that net lights I might add or I might just add another laser. I'm at the 1 on the roof Chinese down into the front yard and maybe 1 on the edge of the movie shining on the front but we'll see. First did have to stop raining long enough for me to do it and I need to get a little sleep 1 of these days. In the last 3 days I think I have a total of 6 or 8 hours. Since yesterday at 6pm I have not been to sleep yet. I'm trying but I think I'm at that point where I have a second or third wind and can't sleep. What really sucks is I have to be to work in 4 hours

Ive got to fix my Santa tomorrow. He only comes with 1 fan and it takes 30+ min to blow up and he never blows up 100%. I bought a 2nd fan yesterday tat sould do the trick. Seems most everything I get I need to tweak or modify to make it a little better. ALL the large Santa's are that way from what I read so after tomorrow I should haf the only one that is standing large and proud. lol
My led lights are LOW wattage. They are made for inside christmas trees so they are very cheap and the controller is water/moisture sensitive,. NOT for outdoor use. Nice what a zip lock baggie and duct take can do in regards to keeping it dry. lolLast edited by lovbyts; 12-11-2012 at 12:16 AM.

I should be able to finish the peaks in the next day or two since I will be off work the next few days if it's not raining the whole time. Maybe Ill put out a few of the net lights.

nice work man. the only thing it needs is more cowbell.
sometimes it's weird living in a place where christmas is only being introduced. i'm sure i've got the only christmas tree up for miles around.

No, you just need to get some cute little Thai girl to stand naked in the middle of your living room (yeah we know you do that) but decorate her like a Christmas tree. Could you think of a better tree than that? lol
I saw plenty of Christmas trees when I was there in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
In 2007 I was there for 4 weeks and left at 6am Christmas morning to go home. I got home at 6am Christmas morning in the US. lol

if you're in a big city like bkk or phuket or pattaya then yes there are going to be some lit up trees, i live in the gulf islands though and as we get far fewer tourists than the big cities it is taking longer to catch on. 10 years ago nobody had a tree except the big hotels, now you can buy trees in makro, big c and tesco.

Updated a little. I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to because it's been raining so much but I added a few more lights and a couple inflatables.
