The Conditioning Classic ideas redux...

After just catching up oin the bulk classic thread I ma going to say it like I see it! Cape has dropped as a judge and I would be shocked if Misery has anything to do with this comp! Admin making it clear that it is not backed or supported by the site! I would like to salvage the comp and perhaps even consider re-entering!

The 1st suggestion I have is to remove the $ from the situation! Feelings get hurt when $ is involved. If bragging rights and self improvement are not enough motivation then you should reconsider your involment!

2) perhaps instead of judges, be judged by peers! Everyone in the comp gets 1 vote and not for themselves! OR the judges be a panel from each speciality..1 from nutrition, 1 from staff, 1 from the workout section and so on!

3) No classes..no weights! Over all improvement END OF STORY! If you use AAS oh well..if you dont oh well! It isn't about your weight or your size or your strenght...its over all best improvement!

Thes are a few of my suggestions....I would hate to see this not happen and I would hate to see everyone not be able to get along and collectively make fun of Dan at the end!

Totally agree with you on all three points.

Because judging someone is an individual and subjective thing. No 2 people look for the exact same thing. I'm watching the decisions of the judges be questioned and now their integrity and mine it seems. This one experience has been enough for me.

I have to agree with lunk's proposed ideas, as well as mrfq. It would make things more fair, but it needs to be public, and since no money there will be less incentive for people to cheat or band together to up vote one person.

I don't care about the money in the bulk classic. It wasn't about that, I like competition and I wasn't planning on a paycheck just to do my best.

Also categories is a good idea to remove like was said. How do you enforce someone claiming all natural? Not to mention weight classes shouldn't matter if people are doing their best to judge fairly and according to before and afters.

I plan to sit this one out as I need to maintain for a bit. I'll be hitting it hard but don't want the pressure yet.

I got slammed for making no improvement after I put on 26lbs ! I posted the scale picture in what I thought was the correct thread only for it to be missed by judges, if we only had one photo thread it would have been simple but no, we had to have a trash talk thread, an opening pictures thread, a halfway through pictures thread, an official thread and a closing pictures thread, all of which got contaminated with BS talk anyway. Lets have a pictures thread and a talking thread and the rules clearly outlined in bold capitals at the start of each one.

one way around the problem is to have more judges, so that the scores when averaged out will be more balanced. maybe even take out the highest and lowest scores and average out the rest. and judges cannot drop out. or any judges that drop out have to be replaced.

before my time, i think there was a Transformation Comp. wonder how that one went, and why no lessons learned...

at first i thought getting more staff involved may be a good idea. but since admin has disown the previous comp, i'm not sure what is their official stand on this. and the 2 judges who didnt vote on the last comp were both staff...

Dang. What could we do to get admin on board? I know a few ruined the last one, but this could be a great thing for this site and bring in more people. I've had 2 more friends sign up since the weigh in. This next comp will have the bugs worked out.

I wasnt dividing staff. I said elite hof and green vets that are currently active. That would give about 8 judges. It wasnt meant to divide staff, it was just an idea to get 8 judges.
