Thread: Do you get offended?
-
Well, ever since my recent happenings I really focus and pay attention to things that before I did not.
Last night I came across something and for some reason I found it offensive. Maybe it wasn't what it was but more of when it came from, I don't know
But, anyways do you offended if someone refers to you as a juicer or a juice head, or other steroid slang term?
Never had this issue, & now that it's here it sure is new. It made me feel kind of like a crackhead or that stoner. < don't see how I'd like that.Last edited by < <Samson> >; 06-11-2013 at 07:26 AM.

I try not to get offended by things that strangers say. Some people are just assholes...who cares what they say?
They need to justify not looking good just like they need to justify not having a nice car. "Pffft, Lambos are pieces of shit, they are just $200,000 Camaros with a fancy badge."

It all depends on their tone. If its a haters tone then I just blow them off with a "yea right I wish if I was I'd be fing HUGE" if its said like man wtf are you on juice then I take it as a complement but the reply never changes... Unless its another user then we will talk.

Most of the time I dont care..I used to get it a lot more than i do now. I usually ignore it but occasionally address it with "the look"...that ends it.

I don't get offended. When I hear someone say anything about steroids I know they are just parroting the latest thing they read in national enquirer or saw on 20/20. Even most doctors are ignorant when it comes to anabolics. It used to make me mad, in that I wanted to lecture the person and educate them but its futile. They wouldn't get it even if they stood silently through the entire 5 hour tirade it would take - they still would be clueless unless they lived a month in my shoes. So now it just makes me smile.

If you seen my other recent post in the lounge you'll know who the source of the comment was.
Just caught me off guard I suppose.
But, 4 sure - scum bags can talk all of the shit they want, since I know I look 10x better

I don't think many people would say it to my face. I already look like I'm in the mood to kick someone's ass 24 7.

The answer is NO, Im no kid and have been through enough in my life to care two shit's what strangers say, and the fact of the matter ppl are jealous, vindictive, presumptuous creatures.............oh she's a witch let's burn her! WTF its just plain ignorance. And the fact im 40 and look better than 80% of the population.....personally I know the truth and I would just smile. This does not apply to everyone using AAS, I have always been above average from hard work. It all depends on how comfortable you are in your own skin I guess.

You can't get away from the fact that people will make assumptions based on your appearance. I know there are people who think I must be stupid because I am fit (I'm not huge). My wife has an MBA and works as an assistant director for a university department and does a lot with venture capital firms. She looks much younger than she is and has big boobs...people ask her to get coffee and feel embarrassed later.
At least you know that person found you physically impressive.

own it
do you juice? than your a juice head... lol so what?
it takes the power away from how they intended AND for what ever reason you may be uncomfortable the lable and what it represents to ~ will give you the head space to think about why being called that would bother you.
thats what i do anyway...and yea we all have days where we r like "f u guy" when someone is clearly trying to hurt us in some way ~but i find that when I roll with it or even follow up with a jab at myself, (expample: yea i juice so much, i may even have a needle sticking outta my as rite now. than put your ass in his face and ask him to check for you)
laugh turn a walk away shaking your head

I let people think what ever they want to because if I ever get defensive/offended about it I just come off looking guilty...but I will never tell the truth with all the negative social/media stance on the subject it is just not wise to ever admit it imho...plus this has been my lifestyle for the last 10yrs religiously so my results didn't happen overnight...but again laughing it off and changing the subject is a good way to defer the question...

I've been called a lot worse and kicked out of better places. But really you have to overlook those that call us juicers as it is quite obvious they have never been inside a gym let alone go to one. Otherwise they would already know how hard it is to get and stay in shape with or without steroids . These are the same guys who think you can just take a shot and sit at home on the couch and get all swole. But lets face it there will always be those who throw names for whatever reason. So it comes down to not necessarily what they say but actually how they say and mean it. There is a joking way and then there is the slam hateful way. That is where I separate what they say to me and then I act accordingly.

People will always try to downplay others achievements. How else could they look good. The problem is. No one really REALLY gives a rats ass. Ppl pass a comment like roid head. Or whatever but the next second they're busy slaggin off their mates. Or ppl they work with.
But in their mind all they are thinking is.
I wish I looked like that.
I wish I looked like that.
I wish I looked like that.
I wish I looked like that.
I wish I looked like that.
Personally I don't give a damn what people think or what they say. When I walk in a joint n all the birds are checking me out. Haha. That is it. Knowing u look good. No. No. Knowing you look better than anyone else. All they're doings is confirming that sh1t

What was the line one of the vets here said? Something to the effect of "If you're doing steroids and people don't know it, you're doing it wrong." I think that lines hysterical.
I was actually out last weekend and a local dock bar (great place) and a young guy starts to walk past with a couple little buddies. He stops and says something like "damn man you look good" in a decent tone. Then he had to add that he could look that way if he roided up too. I laughed in a nice way and told him that no, he couldn't. His buddies about pissed themselves laughing at him.Last edited by kelkel; 06-11-2013 at 09:45 PM.

I always wear a wife beater under a white v neck t shirt. They get wet pretty quick. When i notice someone staring, and the shirt is sticking to me, i just pull the shirt out and up while i walk by them. They usually stop looking after that.

I have been called a lot worse by people that matter. Who cares what people say unless it’s someone that you care about. The fact is if you use AAS you are a "juicer. It annoys me that there is a segment of the population that believes the only way to achieve size is through AAS usage. I wish that people understood that AAS don't make you big. Hard work and dedication are what cause an individual to gain size. AAS are only a tool that help one achieve the goal of becoming massive.

I'm just a skinny guy with a few extra BF%'s so Ive never been accused BUT I hear those morons talking shit and it's annoying as hell. From the knowledge I've learned (plenty to go) from this site and experiencing it for myself it kills me when they are spouting some shit that JUST ISN'T TRUE! or talking about someone who is, I always say "yea he's juicing....and working out 8 times a week, calculating his diet, struggling to eat right,....etc"

Take it as a compliment then continue to deny.
Thx bro! I'm glad you think I look so huge that it requires you to ask what steroids I'm taking. But you should really spend more than 3 days a week in the gym and you'll grow. Or maybe it's the fact that you're fat and have no dietary control? Either way, I'm glad you're impressed because I work my ass off
