Anyone want to watch R.I.P.D.? It definitely has a clever premise. There's a chance it can be pretty good.

Sux about the bb. What's wrong with ppl?
Anyway, I never recommend movies or restaurants. I'm afraid they'll hate 'em.
With that said...
The Heat-two hours of that chic's schtick gets on my nerves.
Despicable Me-laughed a lot. Loved it.
Lone Ranger-entertaining, but silly.
MU-liked monsters inc. Bored to death with this one

It's not "trekky", so to speak. Just a good action-packed movie. I liked it.

Well I watched Despicable Me 2 with my nephew, and it was pretty cute. Horror movies tend to suck nowadays, but The Conjuring has gotten pretty good reviews; unfortunately the same can not be said about R.I.P.D.

The newest Star Trek was good but not an original idea. It brings back the character Khan from the old wrath of khan movie. I liked it but want to see some new ideas from Star Trek series. RIPD looks like a rip off on MIB. Only watched the trailers but that was my impression.

saw The Conjuring lastnight....its definitely a creepy ass movie...while I wouldn't call it a horror movie.. definitely frightening and a little disturbing..
good acting..even from the kids in the movie
movie probably would've been better if the dumb fvck behind us would've shut the hell up...

Saw Pacific Rim and WWZ.
Pacific Rim was an ok movie BUT if you like old Godzilla type movies, little cheezy humor, and fast paced action you'll really like it, come on it's aliens and robots, thats awesome lol $11 for 3D, I wouild have paid $7.50 and been ok with it.
WWZ, Good movie, a few things I wasnt real thrilled about was they spent way to much time on "the family aspect" it was a little to "messagey" for me I like to be entertained, Im not there so you can say "cant we all get along" or "save the planent" (Avatar, which was a great movie). But besides that it was pretty cool, set up for another one, we'll see. I paid $9, would have paid $7 and been cool with it.

I watched 42, and it was definitely a good movie. You should know what to expect from such a movie; so if that sounds good to you, then you should definitely give it a shot.

Well I watched The Conjuring last night, and I definitely enjoyed it. Horror movies usually suck, but this one was pretty good. While there were a few things I could have done without, the movie as a whole was well done.

The Wolverine was good and worth watching.
Turbo was funny worth it for the kids (like me, I've loved cartoons for all of my 34 years)
The Colony decent but a little dry, open ended.
Grown Ups 2 great for an Adam Sandler movie
Lone Ranger was good worth watching.
World War Z was OK by me.
Oblivion was really good, a bit twisted.
The Internship was funny as Vaughn and Wilson combo works well.
After Earth was a bit boring but it was nice to see Will and Jaden working together, his son is not a bad actor for a newbie.
Now You See Me was entertaining and worth watching.
Fast & Furious 6 was the same as the others, the first one was the best IMO.
Iron Man 3 was definately good for superhero movies.
Man Of Steel was really good, not what I expected. Sort of a new twist on the Superman movies.
Yeah, I am a movie phanatic, I have seen thousands of movies over the last 24 years in the U.S. (at least 15,000+ or more not counting all the TV series, dicumentaries, biographies, educational, and foreign) and yes I also have time to read (mostly Psychology but that's neither here nor there). No Joke.
If you want to know if a movie was good, just ask. I usually get to see them on the release date or even months before release. Saw a couple more than a year before release.
Some good ones to see and some of my favorites:
The Skin I Live In- Antonio Banderas plays a twisted doctor, not his typical role.
Fight Club - Brad Pitt and Edward Norton - if you haven't seen it (in the words of Jeff Foxworthy) "you may just be a redneck". (no offense to anyone)
K-Pax with Kevin Spacey
The Matrix Trilogy with Keanu Reeves
Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas - Johny Depp and Benicio DelToro
Catch Me If You Can - with Leonardo DiCaprio
Iron Man 3 - with Robert Downey Jr.
Snatch - with Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Pretty much anything with Jason Statham I find to be a good action movie.
Platoon - with Charlie Sheen and Tom Barringer. Old and classic war. Probably one of the best.
Too tired to write anymore.
Anyone have any good suggestions on something i may NOT have seen already?Last edited by Xzandr; 08-05-2013 at 11:39 PM.
