    Full body day,

Trying to get caught back up and get my body back into ketosis. I literally haven’t had a carb since Saturday and I’m still barely producing ketones. So i did high rep and exhausted every body part. Long 2 hour workout with cardio and a bit of yoga mixed in. Took a few pics of myself to kinda see where I’m at. Forgive the crappy ness lol.

Good deal. Man, I’m not too sure I’d rather have a broken bone than a fked up stomach. I just got over a stomach virus myself within the last month. It’s miserable. Hope you keep feeling better!!

    Cardio day,

Went in to do legs tonight and I just couldn’t. My legs were cramping like crazy and i could feel my groin muscle quivering under any type of load. Definitely dehydrated from my stomach bug. BUT I was able to get an hour of cardio in which is probably more important for my goals right now. I’m basically going to cut down until March or April to see if I am anywhere close to being comp ready for classic physique. If my legs aren’t there yet then I might just do physique a time or two just keep in shape.

Just finished back and chest. Could not have done it in a gym. Hack and gag for 60 seconds after every set. You are a trooper. Fuck all this working out sick bs.

Finally in full on Ketosis this morning. I sleep like a damn log like this. I am still very dehydrated and trying to suck down as much water ass possible. Will hit legs later tonight. It’s a perfect day outside so I’m going to spend it outside and with the dog.

    Leg Day,

Thrashed a leg day, not much to report. Groin was a little flared up so nothing to heavy but I got a lot of volume in. Everything else felt good, was rehydrated by the time I got to the gym. Focused on drinking water all day. Got some good Calve shots in.

It's probably the right diet for me, considering I'm hypoglycemic. Tje only way I can keep my blood sugar from crashing is to not eat much carbs and sugar

The first 3-4 days are hard but then after your sugar cravings pass it’s pretty easy. At least for me it is. There is enough recipes online for different like foods without carbs. Like protein Keto waffles which are good AF or spaghettis and so on. I have found that my sleep is 100% better. I lay down and sleep through the entire night. Which for me, i never do that. So that’s an added benefit.

I initially went into this to do a cyclical Keto diet but, i think I’m going to just stay strictly Keto and cheat on occasions such as Xmas coming up.

    Shoulders,

Just a high rep pump up workout to burn off muscle glycogen.

Got an hour of cardio in. Between a circuit, 30 min stair stepper and 15 min treadmill walk run at 15% incline. Was a pretty descent workout actually. My legs were very sore from yesterday’s workout but feel really good after all the cardio. Starting to get some lines back in my quads. Both on the sweep and front profile. My Hammies are lined nicely, although I never really seem to store fat there. I have my top 4 abs coming in with some obliques and Sarratus. I’ve really started to lean up nicely in the last 4 weeks. Nice to FINALLY see some progress....

Ms, do you pretty much eat any fats, or do you try to limit fatty meats and such?

I go into ketosis when running RFL for cutting, which has me consuming no fats, other than EFAs from fish oil and trace fats in chicken breast with no rib meat. It’s predicated upon the lack of carbs, not a higher fat intake.

Are you measuring blood levels of ketones? Piss strips measure excess ketones that your body throws away, not what you’re producing and burning.

    Update:

Since I’m lifting to burn off fat and stay in ketosis I’m not really breaking any records and such. But I did decide to add deadlifts back into my routine. My groin is somewhat healthy enough to do some things and I have figured a way to wrap the inner groin area to take some pressure off the groin tendon that’s irritated.

This week I had some first for awhile:

Hip sled I went up to 785 for 3 sets of 10. Not huge numbers but the highest I’ve gone since my initial knee injury.

Deadlifts 315x3 for 2 sets. Again not huge but I haven’t deadlifted in 3 plus years. Groin actually felt ok on that. I am really hoping leg press and deads will help improve my squat. Still having a lot of trouble going any more that 225 on squat without pain or favoring one side badly.

    Chest day today

Had a descent day. Did 3x10 of 95 on dumbbell press, which is the best I’ve done in awhile. Felt really good today. Didn’t do flat bench was kinda bored with it so I just DB press.

    Pic after workouts:

Went back for cardio tonight, did the lead sled sprints then sprints. Got my heart rate way up. Kinda getting bored woth HIIT on the thread mill. Ended up doing another 30 min on the stair stepper.

Now that I got my Keto diet in order, I’m going to really start dialing in my kcals. I’m still leaning up but i think i can clean things up a bit and really shred up. My plan is to cut until March or at the sub 10% level and gauge where I’m at.

    Back and Bi’s tonight,

Think my body is finally Keto adapted. Had a lot of energy and a great pump going. My weights are starting to go back up too. My legs and midsection were pretty tight and slightly sore from sprints last night. Did some light deadlift and goblet squat work to loosen up the lower trunk. My knee was a bit tender too, so I didn’t do cardio today, save that for tomorrow after some icing tonight.

    Shoulders tonight

Got a good shoulder workout tonight. Everything is feeling really good. Legs were yesterday, been heavily wrapping my groin during leg training. Woke up today and it wasn’t sore a bit. Maybe I have finally figured it out. Squat still is complete shit, i may never be able to squat more than 225 again. I’m starting to come to that realization.

Keto is going great waking up every morning A little more trim and a another new vein or two showing. I’m on a pretty good training and diet roll as of late. Middle March is my 1 year mark for getting back to the gym consistentaly. I can’t wait to post one year transformation pics. Should be awesome.

It does as is my favorite lift of them all. I’ve started doing heavy leg press and dead lifting again. Hoping that strengthens everything up and balances my lower chain so maybe I can start building my squat back up.
