My back felt great this morning so hit some weights. Didn’t leave myself enough room to go for a run this morning. Hoping to afterwork tonight, since I’ve got legs tomorrow and don’t run after a leg day.

Whenever my low back has issues it always tight hams causing the imbalance, for me anyway.

    Leg day:

    Squats:
    135x10
    185x10
    3WS 225x5
    3WS 135x10 very slow negatives

    Romainian DL: 55lb DB
    Body Weight: 3x15 Warm up
    4WS 10x55lbs

    Hill runs, about 1mile total.

Comments: ran 3miles when I got off work last night. I’m actually starting to enjoy going for runs now and feel the difference when I don’t run. Maybe long runs were the missing piece of the puzzle as far as belly fat loss. My midsection has tightened up a lot. Which has been a huge problem area for me. That and I’m able to push my sqauts again. Didn’t go to high on squats today. My back was still a little spasmy so I just trained with what my body was allowing me. My groin has been talking to me all week, thankfully it wasn’t a problem this morning. It really helps it when I leg out a run. Seems to be the only thing that will keep it from going into a full on spasm.

Going on a weekend vacation with the Mrs. this weekend. Pre-packing some food so I’ll keep my diet in Check. My Wife is fully on board with Keto/low carb dieting. She has been making traditional meals with coconut flour and its made it really easy to stay away from a cheat day. Since I don’t have any cravings for sugar and most everything we eat is virtually carb free.

Already planning to go for another run tonight after work if I can. We will see how the legs feel. I’m already pretty sore. I’m getting addicted to having my heart rate really elevated. I guess that’s the runners high. I have noticed that my weights have been better too. My heart rate doesn’t spike nearly as high when I’m lifting and my rest periods seem to need less and less time. Overal I like the trend where every thing is headed.

Bunch of workouts this week to log. Been a busy week. Got some long runs in, as well as workouts in. Pretty sore and probably back off some volume next week. Running has really been great at decreasing my body fat. I think consistently running is the missing link to me getting to my target BF. Hopefully in the coming week I’ll have time to log a bit better.

Another good week of workouts last week. I did end up straining my low back squatting last week. So have had to work around that since a week ago Monday. Continuing to drop some BF and lean up for the summer.

    Sup y’all,

Just checking in, I got locked out of my account for awhile. Getting my workouts in, weights in the morning, cardio at night.

Got on with a new TRT provider and got my levels zeroed in. Was a process but got it and feeling great.

Hope everyone’s summer is going great!

    Sup y’all,

Hope summer is going well. Getting ready to move for a new job. The wife and I both got real nice job offers out of state. After the past two years I’m ready to moving on.

Decided that I’m going to follow my dream finally and build a home gym. I was always afraid that If I had it at home that I wouldn’t push myself or make time. But honestly I’m so sick of gyms and dudes in the squat rack arm curling that I’m just going to run with it. Plus I love doing HIIT complexes and it sucks when some dude will mosey into my area I’ve set up for complexes and starts unloading my bar when I’m getting a drink.

The second part of that is my wife doesn’t like lifting weights but loves to box and kick box. So I’m going to setup a boxing circuit for her. I really enjoy working out with her so I think this is a good move.

Anyone got some home gym setups they could share?

    Imo...

    Squat rack/bench with decline.

    Dumbells

Calf raise machine seated and standing

    Leg press

Cablle pull down and pull up

    Cable crossover

    Rest is unnecessary crap.

I perfected shoulder routines with dumbells and plates in an apartment. The machines we use at the gym are a joke compared to most free weights. Only downside is I believe the machines are mush easier on joints.

Squat rack with bench is a must. Going to get some boxing stuff like speed bag and heavy bags. Dumbbells and weld up a cable column of some sort. Or just buy some off an old gym or something.

    Sup y’all,

Just checking in. Got all moved back to floridA and loving life. I fish every day I’m off. Finally built my home gym and the wife and are will ne starting to have try for a little MS in the spring.

Workouts are going good. I’m down to 185 which is as close to mu hoghschool wieght as I’ve been. Still trimming the fat off and leaning up. We will see where it goes.

    How is everyone?
