Red face Show off your dogs!

I did a search but didnt find a decent dog pic thread. There was one from like 2011 with a couple posts but whatever im takin another stab at it

This is my 3 year old pitbull named toast. Super nice and dossile. I can literally eat from her food bowl with her and she doesnt care.

I started volunteering at a dog shelter so I'll post up some of my favorites in case anybody on long island wants to adopt one

Bah! I’ve been warring with my desire to get a Dane for years now. A thread like this is the last thing I need. Hah.

No plans yet, but I'm sure we will. Got a six year old and two year old, don't want them growing up without a dog!

I know how you feel. . It's just me and the wife and the house is soooo empty right now. We lost out "baby girl" a year and a half ago and had to put our boy down this past May. Still too painful to think about another mastiff. He was always waiting for me when I got home and loved to go for early a.m. walks with me @ 2-3 a.m. when I was off work.

Haven’t lost a dog yet, dreading the day. It’s insane how you start to feel about them. Youngest one is mugging me from her bed as i write this.

Yes, absolutely. Whenever he got close to my truck he would stop and stand in front of it like in the picture I linked. Loved to ride and look at everything.

My dog had an incident almost exactly a year ago and I thought I had lost her forever. It was also the worst possible time in my life for something to happen to her. Now I make it a point to play ball and love on her everyday. Those damn balls or slobber an fur sure get at your heart.

This my current favorite at the shelter. A very very well trained shepard mix. Its insane how someone could just abandon a dog, especially such a low maintance dog. We need more dogs and less humans. And more pharm grade test.

No kidding. My mom had our Rottweiler cremated when she died and still has the ashes. To be fair though, I’ve still never seen or had a dog that was so obedient, loyal and protective without having any kind of formal training.

If I'm counting correctly, we have the ashes from 5 of ours in a little "shrine" the wife has set up. I relate waaay better to animals than I do to most people.
It does hurt when you lose one, but that's the price we pay for all they give us.

Excellent. He’s about 100-120 lbs and will lick you to death. I did take him to obedience school. He’s my fourth one.
