    Off topic !

Hey guys i know this is way off topic but ive been freaking out abit and i wanted to know if any of you have experienced this personally .
I was assualted off guard and hit several times in the head after the incident when i stood up i could not see a thing out my right eye .
I went to hospital but the docters where all over the place and i was just given some antibiotics and inflamation pills the doc said my iris wasnt damaged and i would be fine but 2 days later and vision in my eye is at about 50/50 its extremely sensitive to light and still very swollen , i just wanted to know any opinions if the vision loss is normal after a black eye or if i should see a specialist . Thnx

You need a CT scan and or mri.

This can happen with concussion which is likely what you have. Sometimes just color goes.
Sorry bout the bad luck, been there.
    Hope everything turns out ok.

There is no such thing as off topic in the lounge btw unless you are asking questions that belong in designated forums.

ER docs are not trained very well to deal with eye issues. They have basic training in that area and typically will put in drops that contain a dye and then use a uv light to check for damage to the cornea, and they'll look fir obvious infections (although if it's in the back of the eye they don't have the equip to see back there.

You need to go to an opthalmologist which is an eye specialist and they can look in the back of your eye to see if you have nerve damage or possibly a torn retina. I used to fight when I was younger and had a partial retinal tear also in my right eye and it was hell dealing with it, had two surgeries on it, and STILL a decade later it gets red and inflamed sometimes.

Eyes are very sensitive organs. Like Cape said get medical advice right away but go to a specialist that deals with eyes specifically because the ER doc I saw back in the day also had no clue what the real issue with my eye was and he also sent me home with some drops and called it a day lol.

It most likely the swelling causing the issue. Do you have a head ache? Last time I got into a fight I got caught right on the out side edge of my eye, I had double vision and a squiggly/blur in it until the swelling went completely away.

I hear you bg my wife likes to pound my chest and arms all the time...it seems to be a turn on for her even though I told her that every time she dose it my first instinct is to punch back...I never do but it is so hard to control what is a natural instinct...I hate being touched in a non sexual manner but she insists that it is...I just don't see it but control myself so I can get laid...

    Get lost in the moment.
Thats when you grab her by the throat and push her against the wall. Then you start kissing... Saw it in a movie once.

Funny thing is when I tried it they called it "domestic assault" tssshhh!

You could have a detached retina, do you see any flashes or floaters in your visual field.

Secondly you could also have some intro orbital cavity pressure from swelling or fracture that will impinge the retinal nerve. Or a number of other things.

Do you see any light or anything at all?
