Nice cars. Your CLS is on it's roof.

I drove a bi turbo v8 c63 AMG - that shit was pretty cool. . . Not something I can currently afford tho. So, a domestic v8 is the best bang for buck in this price range. Loved this thing when I got to drive it around for 20 bucks a day.

My 2012 C-63 is NA. When you buy one they comp you for their one day performance driving school. Mine was at Leguna Seca. You drive the crap out of everything but the S class and G-wagon (both of which I do not care for). All of the turbo charged cars (E, SL, CLS) didn’t impress me, even with their added hp. I actually liked my car the best (although that was the 507 version), even preferred it to the gull-wing SLS’s.

Got rear ended (no jokes please) last year & I drove a new vette for a month. Immediately I wanted my car back, no comparison, night and day.

Had an NA SRT-8 that I modded and was over 450 at the wheels on a dyno, still no comparison.

Wouldn’t mind trying one of the red-eye versions of the Challenger, but those seem big and bulky.

Tempted to have someone build me a rat rod that can do everything my C-63 can do, but don’t think it is possible.

I change my mind all the time, if I had the cash & the place to put it - I'd just get a 08 and up CTSv to keep - I need a 4 door, but I still want na v8 torque + I still kinda lead towards domestic(for some reason)

I love my CTS-V. Only drive it once a month if I'm lucky to be home. But every time I take her out, it's like magic. I fall in love with it again. As soon as she breaks 1000 miles, Cam and upper/lower pulley's are going in. That should put her somewhere in the neighborhood of 750+ HP.

Test drove that before I bought my c-63. That was a huge no-go.

Just as an FYI, not a Mercedes guy, not into the prestige stuff. Test drove M-3, M-5, vette, cts-v. Nothing made me smile. 30 seconds into my test drive with the c-63 & I was sold.

Mods for this car are reasonable and get get it stupid strong. I just like my relationship with the Mercedes dealership now. They assure me that even though I am now out of warranty, that they’ll take care of me. So I won’t mod yet.

Edit: also want to be sure that I’m not coming off as dissing anyone else’s rides. It’s just they didn’t work for me personally.

The 1st gen CTSv still screams GM way too much. It seemed so unrefined when I had it - feels to me like a fairly normal CTS with a Vette drivetrain.

I sure would love my regular Di CTS to turn into a V Click image for larger version.
