I grew up in one of the top 100 brokest counties in the US per househould annual income.
Last time I was there I stopped to help a guy that was broke down, lug nuts worked loose and his wheel came off.
As I was beating his destroyed wheel lugs out person after person in shitty cars that probably barely had enough money to buy gas to get to town were stopping to see if we needed anything. I took him to an auto parts store and bought him new lugs.
Came back and same thing as I beat them back in.
All in all probably twenty people stopped. It was almost annoying.
It is a meth haven but the poor people there will do anything they can to help someone. People use the expression "give you the shirt off their back".
It is literal in truly poor areas. If they see someone in need they will give anything they have to the point of making themselves truly suffer.
A well off person would be much more likely to take it.

The number 29 brokest county in the US, (out of 3,007) way below the national average for property crime.
Why?
Morality and upbringing in a world where you have to bust your ass to survive.
Per average they will outwork any three people in KC too for not even half as much money. They churn out two kinds down there. Hardasses and welfare dependants. Nearly all qualify for foodstamps etc.Last edited by Obs; 04-08-2019 at 12:08 AM.
