Thanks for the bump! Perfect timing. Just had mine checked yesterday, came back 140/84. That was a big surprise for me as I have almost none of the risk factors. Guess the caffeine is out. We'll see how that goes.

yes, and the high blood pressure also makes small cracks in the arteries which are then patched up by..CHOLESTEROL. This is how it increases the accumalation of plaque.

This is why i run bromo with most cycles because it helps with BP

I'm normally on BP meds anyways, but when I cycle, I start a second course. I try to keep it in the 130/75 range or so

Do you check bp a couple times a day? My fluctuates so much it's crazy. I can wake up one morning and check it and it's 118/75 then the next morning it's 140/88. Usually at night when I check it's a little high due to stress at work. I'm on bp meds plus cialis, this is off cycle to. No matter what it is I can meditate and it drops down considerably. Idk sometimes I just get frustrated with it.

Finally a ok post from him. Wow...

James Tiny West says high amount of l-arginine, like 12 grams before training, is one of the best ways to lower BP.

Oh come on Sil, ive been in the game for 31 years and been around some serious guys in the business give me a tiny bit of credit come on.

Forget what any youtuber says, its all driven for followers the first thing you need to do is find out whats causing the high BP and fix it, I actually don't think 12 grams of L-Arginine would be healthy.

I'll second that monitoring BP and hematocrit is extremely important and if you are already on a BP med, I would recommend keeping some spare on hand. Personally, I consider spare BP meds to be part of my ancillaries.
The Mayo Clinic says the scientific evidence for treating high BP with l-argjnine is unclear.
    Arginine Evidence - Mayo Clinic

Examine also gives it a weak recommendation for affecting BP.
    https://examine.com/supplements/arginine/

Edit: I will say that I would never consider just adding Catapres/clonidine unless directed to do so by your physician. It is pretty potent.
By having spare BP meds, I am referring to any BP meds you may currently be prescribed.

However, I do like.this discussion as it is very relevant. It does seem that I recall reading that L-citrulline combined with L-arginine gave better results?

In my early 20s my BP used to be 150/110.

I was a 210 lbs fat sad cunt sitting all day with poor diet and eating behaviour. After a year transformation into a fit 150 lbs little man, my BP went down too 110/70, HR in the 50s bpm.

I was probably already into metabolic syndrome. Saved myself

You see find the problem and cure it instead of treating it, first course of action IMHO

I was also curious about one thing. A daily intake of aspirin was suggested as a means to control blood pressure. What affects can aspirin have for those taking anabolic steroids, and can Aspirin have a negative affect on protein synthesis?
you are probably feeling those symptoms because the increase is brought on suddenly self induced, as opposed to gradually increasing
over time as related to age.
increase in head aches and pressure behind the eyes can sometimes be
an indication of rising or high BP as seeing an optemologist is a good
way of determining dilated or contracted vessels.

one more note on diet, as was stated whole grains are a good addition to diet, as are legumes, beans of all variety can aide imensensly in stabilizing BP, as long as you inherit the other aforementioned dietary restrictions, alchohol, caffeine, and change for life your eating habits
if they are poor to begin with.
great informative post Marcus, as this should be a concern of everyone, I enjoyed the read as I am currently battling 140/90 +
BP and working on diet and supplement intake to reduce it, as I am not a fan of precribed meds
