It will be considered not a rec drug soon. I talk about Jack Daniels a lot and I can assure all that if you saw just how violent I got on Jack vs. The other...
Please, in five years when its legal everywhere... Stop calling it a rec drug. I dont use it because there is something wrong with me mentally and it makes me feel like shit. I do not judge anyone who does. Get over it!
Even Dorian Yates is a huge proponent!

I think there are many "technological" things that could be done here but I also realize this board is not exactly a cash cow for the Admin. I know some of the "old farts" would not like the change (Old as in a member of this site, not physical age) but simply looking at the functionality difference between Vbulletin4 and Vbulletin5 many concerns would be addressed.
None of this, naturally, addresses the approach to new members that some of us have. Personally, if anything said can be used to improve what I am doing, regardless of how it is said, I'll try to listen and evaluate it and see if I should use that advice. This is not the case for many replies in this very subforum where the comments are simply not useful. To modify an old expression, "If you can't say anything useful, say nothing at all".

I was just saying why the board is so sensitive about it. Times have changed on some aspects with the medicalization of certain things so I do think it’s a relevant discussion. Since I have the thread on Kratom and how it’s changed my life from being in constant skeletal pain. Which I know it’s not illegal per-say.
I also agree about the young guys coming to get answers and jumping on them. I don’t like that and it’s not helpful. But I also see why guys do it, they just want to no see them get hurt. Or be seen as condoning dangerous behaviors to young users. I think we need to strike a better balance and not be combative with new members under 25 at the very least asking questions about it. That’s why you will hardly if ever see me weigh in on the subject unless i see something overly dangerous or misinformed. I’m all fareness I’ve seen hundreds of young dudes use in my baseball days and suffer no ill effects. Some I would have never guessed in a million years used. We know scare tactics is not a good way to deter behavior for other drugs so why do we do it with something we all know about. It’s hypocritical to tell a kid that he is going to have this and that side effect and never have kids or kill his liver or be on TRT their whole life. That only happens to us longtimers, lol casual users that do it for a couple years in their early 20’s to get a GF usually stop once they get the girl anyway. So my thought is, yes deter them but don’t be harsh or blatantly lie to them. Inform them or potential risk, advise if their cycle is terrible but say why and how to change it. That’s the best way to keep them safe. Open and respectful dialogue, more often than not when you present the unbiased facts. A person will chose the rational outcome. That’s what will keep the young ones off these crazy internet cycles they see, not harsh criticism and defensive language.

No, I said the specific statement (s) that were made were small minded and narrow. No judgment on the person, dont know him to make those kind of assumptions about the person

Perhaps there could be an anonymous donation option? I'd be happy to donate but I wouldn't want it to change the way anybody relates to anyone else.

And tarmyg, my posts werent specific to how the site or board is operated. Was just my 2 cents of input directed more toward the general hurdles you encounter on a larger scale. Im sure there are tons of opinions as to specific things that people would like to be changed or added, good or bad. I just wanted to add a bit of my opinion, as someone who recently registered here, why i did, why i believe others wouldnt, and a larger picture opinion as to why i believe you are fighting a difficult battle from jump street, trying to keep a site and board going

Not semantics kel. I did say the statements that TR made were narrow and small minded. I believe that. I did not say TR was small minded or narrow as a person. I do not know TR.
I have made small minded and narrow statements in my life, as im sure alot of us have in conversations where opinions differ. I do not believe i am a small minded or narrow person. I do not know that TR is or isnt, couldnt tell you.
But i do believe that at that time, in that conversation, those statements were small minded and narrow. I didnt mean it as a dig or to disrespect, and if it did appear that way, i apologize. But it doesnt change my opinion that at that time, thats what they were

I'm into quality, not quantity.
It would be very different if I had kids. My gf have lots of mom friends via soccer, robotics, flag football, travel cheer what not.
I'm ok with my no kids life. I have $$$ and time and my body hasn't been disfigured by child birth. Lol I have time for this forum

Thanks gentlemen!
Another thought, maybe we could have a way to post something and draw another's attention to it. For instance, I wanted to comment on your (MS) change in appearance and ask if you were preparing for a different style of competition like you referred to in June. (Looks like you've put on some solid muscle but a little water weight at this point in your endeavor, I congratulate you on your results and the strength of mind it take to follow the path of change when you've already seen success in your old path). However, I didn't want to bring that up in this thread and didn't want to do a PM and deprives other friends of the opportunity to voice support. So, I would have like to have done it in the lounge but how would you have known. Not that long ago, I mentioned another member, less than favorably, in a thread where I voiced criticism. I, of course, brought it to his attention by Pming him, it would have been shitty not to be upfront. He was the only one mentioned directly who wasn't actively following the thread. Unfortunately, the act of pointing it out to him was probably what stood out the most and, misconstrued as an even greater "attack," he is no longer a contact of mine. If there were another way to do that, my act of drawing his attention may not have seemed like I was just piling it on.

I feel I understand what you are saying but as we are looking at this from a larger perspective there are obviously many things that have changed and are changing within the social media space to which I would say this site falls. While this is clearly a niche site trying to compete with others is, in my opinion, fruitless. Just do what you do and do it the best that you can while try to accommodate reasonable requests.

That is an older pic and was when I was coming out of powerlifting and going more towards bodybuilding and physique comps. I was close to 230-40ish lbs then. It’s just a way to motivate myself to get back to where I was at. I don’t want to be that big or fluffy again. I do want my chest to pop like that again though lol.

You are totally entitled to your opinion. It takes all kinds of people and a plethora of differing opinions and personalities to create and maintain a good forum. And yes, we've all made statements as described. But to the point, it did appear that way on the surface. When I first read it, it immediately struck me that way.
Bottom line. It was good to talk about it with you and it's great to have a new member willing to express his opinion.

Well for all it's warts, I've not found a better site for solid information.
Vets and experienced members care about long term, smart usage which isn't always appreciated.
Source boards aren't all that fantastic. It be nice to be able to share sources but I guess that's best handled in PM.

Yeah tarmyg, i get where you are coming from. It is a difficult proposition to keep up with ever changing technology, let alone changes in media in general. For whatever its worth, I think you have done a good job here. I mean, obviously there is a sizeable membership, traffic, and turned into a place of alot of information, advice, and support a majority of the time.

I know who you are talking about and he was looking for drama at the time.
Forum navigation rule #1 if a guy wishes to avoid confrontation he will avoid entering the conversation, such as MS. MS reads shit every day he doesn't like or agree with at all but just avoids the negative and focuses on the positive. The guy you drew attention to does not really quite fit this site as he sees most of us as criminals.
Being intelligent has never impressed me. Being for real is the thing I love about most members here.

Yeah girlygymrat, i would say this is definitely a good source of info and a good board, no doubt. The vets ive talked to have all been really helpful, and i will say that I am very appreciative.
I cant speak on source boards, never spent any significant time on one, seems it may produce something of substance once in a while, but i would guess it would more tend to attract the wrong crowd.
But as to the original post, i do believe from what ive seen, that some members seem to have their opinion and are hell bent on keeping things the way they want them, when the actual conversation should be concerned with the original post and what is best for the board and the site, which sometimes may conflict with what specific people prefer
