Some guy punched me...
Alright ill get right to the point fellas...
Some guy walked into the studio yesterday, and the prick was running his mouth about how hes a TKD BB and blah blah blah... And he can beat anyone in the gym in a fight.
Basically i told him "Hey pal, we train BJJ, MMA, and Muay Thai only. If you want to talk TKD, go find another gym."
He asked if i was the instructor. I told him yes, and i told him to leave or i would make him. Well long story short, i made him.
He challenged me to a fight. Well guys, im getting a little too old to streetfight guys these days. So i told him, no, there is no money in kicking his ass and i only fight for money.
he said lets make a bet, and some other bullshit. I told him to just leave and that kicking his ass isnt worth my time.
At this point, this a hole has wasted my time, breath, and worst of all 10 minutes of my students time who all PAY good money for me to give them my undivided attention and instruct them.
So i tell him, "Alright buddy, you need to leave."
I put my hand on him and he threw a right hand which landed. So now im pissed. I take a step back and the most ridiculous spin kick came my way. I caught the kick, took him down, and proceeded to pound the living piss outta him.
My kids broke it up, but the asshole got the point. I probably hit him 10X's before the kids broke it up. His face was a mess. It was pretty funny. Busted up nose, and i think i cut his ear or something cause he bled all over my mats...
So one of the students called the cops, they came out and talked to me and the douche for about 1/2 an hour. (I really though i was going to jail. They put me in the cuffs and in the squad car.) My students defended my story and that he hit me first and i was defending myself. The cops were cool and called it a "wash" and advised the guy not to come back.
They told me i had a right to defend myself, but if he comes back to call the police first.
lol pretty funny huh?
Just thought id share my days...

That is beautiful. I respect the fact that you did not take the bait and made him throw the first punch. Does anyone have even a shred of respect for TKD? YOur story reminds me of the old school Gracie Challenge.

I know right...
One of my kids actually said that after the cops left...
"He was like this guy is nuts, does he think you do the Gracie challenge?"
I was just like if i had 50K, i wouldnt bet it on a fight bro, id buy my camaro back...
lol

I would have said no wash...I want to press charges on him. screw that.. you pound him and then screw him with the system too. Your lucky you didn't get hurt real bad with that first punch he landed.

He was a bit bigger than me, but ive been hit by bar stools, beer bottles, ive been pistol whipped etc.. never been KO'd lol...
I have a little black eye under my left eye but its not much... I usually have one every month anyway.
The guy was just a total dumbass...
I asked the cops what to do if he returns, they just said call the police but if he attempts to attack me or threaten me i have a right to defend myself again.
I dont think he wants another beating... So hopefully he wont be back, i dont need any problems with the cops...
Anyway, i just thought it was funny...

I was hoping for a nasty heel hook or knee bar ... but good old fashioned ground and pound works just fine.
Good job man ... no one has the right to come into your school and disrespect you like that.

I was actually hoping for a dislocating arm bar but good old fashioned Matt Hughes GnP works for me. What a joke though that someone really thinks that they can come into your school and pull something like that. Its douche bags like that that give martial arts and MMA a bad move. Not that TKD can really be considered but you get the point. I would love to hear how he relays that story to his friends. Probably sounds something like he cleared out a whole school and ended up getting jumped. What a clown

this is going to be a stupid question but what is TDK.
-

My bad, TKD! Tae Kwon Do.....the most deadly martial art known to man! Only the baddest dudes on the planet get their black belt in it, or anyone willing to spend 5 grand.

No problem my bad. No way the Brazilians claim that crap. It lives in dirty strip malls all across the country. In all honesty, its not as bad as I make it out to be but it is infamous for producing fake tough guys that find themselves overmatched against arts like Muay Thai, Wrestling, and as evidenced by today Jiu Jitsu.

I think Goldberg came into War's gym and punched him.
-
10-22-2008, 09:03 PM #19
He did it to defend Kimbo's honor. He heard War was talking smack. Nobody talks smack about Kimbo or TKD!
-
No problem, I fought in a few TDK tournaments after fighting in kempo and judo tournaments. I knocked a guy out with a ball kicked to the chin and ended up losing the fight on points because you cant punch to the head nor win by knockout. That was the last time I did any tournaments like that....

actually you touched him first, but he was threatening, the DA would be hard pressed to charge either of you..
the guy was an idiot, and idiots don't usually learn an easy lesson.. so be safe man, and make sure your business insurance is paid up..The answer to your every question

was this guy high. to walk in a gym and start a fight must have either big balls or be on drugs.
even if he was the hardest guy in the world what a d*&k for walking in a gym like that.
you should have lat the students try some moves out or some good old ground and pound that would have been funny.

First off it is very difficult for someone to go to jail after asking someone to leave. You are allowed to defend your person and property with force.

What the hell was that guy thinking??? was he high on drugs.
When i was doing pro wrestling i met a MMA guy i was a TKD guy before and we sparred a bit, i got my ass handed to me pertty fast.
TKD is useless in street fighting, flashy kicks dont cut it.
Its quit sad that someone would walk in a dojo and run is mouth, just plain dumb.

First Off IMO TKD is for 12 year old kids who spar no one and do not practice kumite , they do fancy queer kicks "no pun intended" and get belts and think there cool. TKD----> <----Real Martial Artists
Second, to bad he sucker punched you but, good job on molly-whopping his ass!
Lastly you are lucky you did not go to jail, self defense is fine remember you always feared for your life. But sounds like yours was a bit of lets call it Self-Offense LMAO
well good job and now your students have even more reassurance of your skills.
also we need more cops like that

Yeah i cant say enough about the cops, they were way cool...
One asked for my card so hopefully he stops by again, its always good to get law enforcement on your side...
btw, Self-Offense, i like that lol...

There are two different TKD federations as well as 2 sets of rules. American standard systems suck not just in TKD , but in Karate as well. Out of 50 people who practiced Kyokusin-kay karate that I know of (where I am from), only 6 black belts and everyone of them is a potential killer. 2 of them are 3 degree, 1-2nd , and 3 just black belts. My uncle was a brown belt after 17 years of training and he could easily put his finger thru a can of sardines. There's no way a 12 year old kid would've gotten a black belt in TKD in North Korea or in Karate in Japan. But even in Olimpic TKD system punishment is intended. I watched a heavyweight final fight in 2004 olimpics in Athens, Greece and a greek dude was knocked out cold by this Korean dude with that " fancy queer kick " as u said. They were wearing full body armour and helmets. It is hard as hell to knock anyone who wears a helmet I tell u that.
War, good for you my man ! Im glad the victory was yours. As I understood u mountained him and GnP 10 times. Im surprised he was able to get up after this sh*t. Usually a good elbow from that position is almost a guaranteed KO if landed in a jawline, temple or even behind the ear. I dont know what drives cats like that to walk around dojos and pick fights. I understand sometimes sensei(s) look like a fat elvis and practice nothing but "DIM MAK" lol . Those clowns are an easy target , but still WHAT A F***ng NERVE ? LMAO
