    Stopping Midnight Munchies

I tend to wake up hungry in the middle of the night.
Would it be wise to prepare A protein shake before bed and use it when and if I get up in the middle of the night?
Any other suggestions would be great too.

    hungry

my trainer told me i can chug down a protien shake, low in carbs before i go to be.

I drink bananna flavored muscle milk, i think it is about 32 grams protein and 13 grams carb. I am now sleeping straight through the night.

If you wake up hungry, hunger is what wakes you up. give yourself a little fuel
    before you sleep.

at least it has worked like a charm for me.

give cottage cheese or peanut butter a shot ... good for the sleeping body and should keep the hunger pangs away.

cott. chesse or a piece of meat b4 bed both diget slowly and or both good choices, way better then a protein shake...and the melatonin is good idea IMO since it might thelp you get through the night without waking up...

You def want to stay away from carbs before you go to bed. You want to release GH by keeping that low blood sugar level. I would agree on the cottage cheese or lean meat.
