Dark meat vs. White meat!
Chicken, that is!
One ounce Roasted chicken meat contains:
White (Breast): Sat fat 0.3g ; Total fat 1g ; Protein 8.8g
Dark (Thigh): Sat fat 0.8g ; Total fat 2.8g ; Protein 7.8g
As you can see, the dark meat has almost three times as much total fat, but has only a slightly smaller amount of Protein.
Question: Is it O.K. for the average bodybuilder (one who's not preparing for a competition) to eat lots of the tasty dark chicken meat, as opposed to an endless diet of bland, dry chicken breasts?

I would have thought there was more fat in it than that. I guess the answer to your q is your own opinion.
I steer clear. However, I s'pose it wouldn't harm as part of a pro/fat meal.

Cost savings:
I always trim away all the visible fat from the boneless thighs, as well.
Another plus, in addition to tasting better, is that dark meat costs about half what chicken breasts cost at my supermarket.

BLT - less fat than I though. I would be careful, but the decision is yours - it comes down to aims and goals.

I'm a Rugby Prop, not a bodybuilder, so I'm not going for a LEAN look.
I eat much healthier and leaner than I did in past years, trying to stay in some sort of cardiovascular shape.
I figure dark chicken meat and pasta isn't as good as chicken breasts and broccoli, but it's an improvement over beer and pizza.
