FAT FALL-OFF ~ a challenge to drop lbs between Oct / JAN
A weight loss challenge
Sometimes a bit of healthy compitition is needed to motivate us towards our goals!
We are entering fall and the dreaded Hell-idays.
The average person gains min 1lb each year and does not lose it after the holidays are over.
• don’t join if you won’t commit daily
• don’t join if you’re not seeking to drop lbs.
• don’t join if you feel like whining about the days challenge
• don’t join if you’re not open to new exercises or stretches
• don’t join if you have no sense of humor and take sh*t personally
No whiney excusses, No BS, No coddling, No flaking out
Starting Oct 2011 ending last day in Dec 2011
Goal: to drop lbs. before New Year’s
A daily challenge will also be posted with pix and instruction.
If you want in:
- Say hi and what you are looking to drop each month
- Post a pix of your scale numbers (with you on it) don’t be shy, we don’t care how much you weigh
- Log in daily to do the days challenge ~ say you did it, and how many you powered through
- Be ready to weigh self and post with pix of the scales reading the first of OCT/NOV/DEC/JAN
- Person to drop most total lbs by Jan 1st wins

I dont care if Im the only one that does this -lol, I need to challenge, and if I can push through my normal routine PLUS a days challenge~ thats something I am not used to doing ~ Im sure to shred.
My Intro, Pix, and first days challenge instruction will be posted Wed so yall can see how this is going to go ... not to start untill October 1st
Im sure you will find a few new excersizes that you may like and dispize
Hope to have some people I can compete against !

I am in. I will drop ~10% BF by the end of December with before/after pictures. I will be cutting on 4000 calories.

Hi, Im no fitness trainer or any other form of health/fitness/training person that knows what the h#ll they are talking about. Im just sharing what I have learned over the years and new stuff that seems to have good results and cred.
Dont hurt yourself doing anything I may suggest, cuz than you will be bed ridden and will certainly NOT lose any weight
HERE IS WHAT THE CHALLENEGE WILL LOOK LIKE:
Im looking to drop 5lbs each month = total 15 + by Jan 1st
your scale pix will look like this: but with you on it and your weight showing (lets keep it real folks)
our first days challenge will be BURPEES
This is a fat burner/butt and thigh worker that they use in the special forces.
~if it is not challenging enuff for you (yea, rite) use a set of hand held weights while doing it.
1. START in a standing possition, feet under hips
2. Lower yourself down into a squat
3. Drop into a plank
4. Lower your self down to a push up
5. Dont move hand placement while hopping you legs under your chest as a squat possition
6. PUSH off the ground with enuff force to boost you air born
7. Than drop down in to a squat again
8. Throw legs back as you lower into a plank again
9. Repeat process for as many as you can do...

Sexy! I am subscribed and will try the challenges, etc. I think it's a great way to learn new things/etc and keep MOTIVATED! Will be reading and participating just not with the pics of the scale! LOL. Sorry I am shy still!

I know right! I am getting use to posting and having ppl be able to read it (not just you!) haha jk. Can't wait to see all the stuff on here I think it will be great and I promise to try all your stuff but I don't know that I could log in daily but certainly TRY! being subscribed to it def. helps me remember to log on and read stuff...great that i figured that one out! OMG pics when I am @ my goal weight not now! Love it I will surely find some stuff on here that will help @ home! Lots of fun ideas will be on here I'm sure as you started this thread......!!

DAY 1 BABY!
goal:drop 15lbs by Jan...Mini goal 5lbs this October
I decided I’m even going to post pix of me today after the gym in my sweaty workout clothes
it will be my BEFORE pix and I’m looking forward to posting my AFTER pix in a year
I’m hoping it will inspire all my fellow girl friends here on the site to shed their bashfulness as well as their weight
Burpees done: 3 sets of 15
Wow they sux -lol, the 3 sets of 15 took me foreveeeeeeer, lots of brakes sadly, but I did it damn it lol

thanks for the post and the pics
how many burpees did u do...i'm starting monday and am thinking of 3 sets of 10? as all the exercises you suggest will be in addition to my already 4 day weights/cardio protocol..but will be running your suggestions 5 days ..
am only looking to lose 2-4lbs. per month or 7-12lbs by New Years
thinking the scale will be close to 242 tomorrow but will take the pic as promised and repic every sunday

Oops sorry jpkman and all, I should have specified earlyer..
3 sets of 15 are the min I wanna see. Even if lots of brakes are needed between ~more power to you if you can do more!
I didnt have time to upload my scale pix today before Tiger had to leave again with his camara phone, so it will be up tomorrow.
I cant imagine the weight will change much BUT I did appearently gain 5lbs sence last night (?) so who knows lol

DAY 2
Our second days challenge will be SPIDERMAN PUSH UPS & SPIDERMAN LUNGES
This is a fat burner/butt and ab worker.
3 sets of 15 (or more!)
The correct way to SUPER HERO!
Spiderman push up
1. Start in the top push up position
2. As you lower to the floor
3. bring you knee to you elbow (parallel to the floor)
4. push back up returning leg
5. repeat with other leg
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
spider man lunge
1. Start in the top push up position again
2. do not lower yourself (you will basically be in a plank position)
3. bring a foot to the floor up next to your hand
4. return foot
5. repeat with other leg

S4MS - first, kudos to you for having the guts to post up your pics. It's hard enough for some guys to do it; I can't even imagine how it must be for women... so, respect!!! Hopefully you'll inspire others as you've said. So far, you and GGR are the pioneers with regards to ladies posting pics.
Burpees - not easy!!! Nark had me doing 100 of them, any way I could get em done. Pretty much broke it into 5 sets of 20. Oh, and that was only a small part of that workout... there was all kinds of other sh!t !
I don't really have a goal number of weight to drop or what i'd like to see on the scale, it's all about what I see in the mirror. Unfortunately, i'm not going to be able to get the wife to snap any pics in her current condition (she's kill me for even asking, she hates doing it under NORMAL circumstances!) - so the best I can do is post my recent avy, pic taken about a week ago? Crappy pic but it should do. If you want me to get something else up, I will:

^ lol, thanks...ya, I was far less than pleased to see my pix after I took them, 80lb gain sence meeting Tiger does NOT look pretty ~ its weird but I dont see myself like the pix, in my head Im still my skinney self (strange lol) anyway, having the pix up was a reality check and should be a damn good motovator!
hahaha well just doing the days challenge seems to be too much for all the other guys, so I will def give you a pass on not posting pix

Guess I'll be the first to post a scale pic. Didn't do Burbees, anything dealing with shoulder still having trouble with from a AC seperation, but it is getting stronger. Instead did 2 hours cardio playing basketball.
PS how do you just post a pic without it being a link? Anyway the scale says 225.0 to save you time.
