    The perfect shake

So we're all busy people and sometimes it's just not an option to cook up and eat a meal. So what's the next best thing? A blended shake.

My current ingredients are as follows:
    1 cup egg whites
    1 cup water
    1 banana
    1 cup mixed berrys
2 tbsp of flavorless probiotic yoghurt
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
    2/3 cup oats

Takes me about 5 minutes to make and eat and tastes awesome. I crush two a day usually. I'm thinking of adding flax seed. Any other suggestions to make it a bit healthier and well rounded meal?

I am a milk drinking fool. I would turn the cup of water into 2 cups of milk.

The only thing I don't like about drinking egg whites it I've read numerous times unless there cooked you only absorb about half the protein..otherwise I do stuff like that all the time..like Ob said I'd throw in a cup of milk and a scoop of whey..

Not when they're pasteurized. Raw pasteruized egg whites arguably have the best bioavailability of any eggs.
I'm trying to keep away from milk right now. And I think there's enough natural real food protein in the recipe already to not have to resort to using whey.
I added a cup of spinach this morning, couldn't taste a difference so I will add that to the recipe.

Just looked through study upon study with conflicting info on egg whites..I'll just keep cooking for now..I remember jay cutler saying his breakfast everyday was 2 cups egg whites and scoop of whey..he can't be too off, he's jay cutler..not saying your wrong I really don't know..

    Hard boiled eggs.
    Kale
    Cheerios
Chia (will thicken it up a lot)
Super milk skim (13g protein, 6g carbs, lactose free)
    Any veggies
Tomatoes really go well, gotta try it, honestly its not as bad as you'd think
    Peas, fresh frozen peas.

psyllium husk powder but if you add it you have to drink it fast due to it being bulk fiber and will harden. Drops your Cholesterol and keeps your craps regular

I started adding in plain low fat Greek yogurt. That really thickens up the smoothy.

    Ingredients:
    1/2cup frozen berries medley
    2-4 tps of natty PB
    2scoops vanilla ON whey
    1tbsp organic local honey
    8oz whole milk
1/2 to 1cup Greek plain yogurt.

    Sometimes oatmeal for more fiber.

I got into a bad ice cream binder down in Florida. I always looked at it as pure evil with all the sugar. I’m off it now, I’m just concerned that it may return without warning.

You can eat twice as much! I'm like half of you and have less muscle. I did find a recipe for ice cream that uses almond milk....I just could not shake the bag inside a bag with ice and salt for 5 minutes. so in the blender with ice. It was more like a frosty....better for girly figure.

    Here's a good one.

40g whey, 1 egg or 90ml egg whites, quarter banana, and almond milk till consistancy is like batter.

    It makes awesome pancakes

If you really want a good "non-flat"consistancy, powder some oats in blender and add to batter.

Its pretty much play it by ear till you get the right consistancy of batter

    For syrup,

Add strawberries, and some nana in blender with Stevie and purree

I use oatmill in my waffles, which allows me to cut the flour by half, but it really makes them rise nicely. Do you think I could cut it even more with say a bit more oatmil and add some whey powder in part or in full in leu of flour?

It's kind of like hillbilly oat flour. They are really convenient for a low glycemic food and relatively benign in terms of additives. Additionally, if there is a man around the house set a bowl on the back of the toilet with instructions to deposit one cheerio in the commode prior to urination. Men will automatically aim for the center which lowers the maintenance required to keep the bathroom clean.
