Transition from Androgel to shots
Does anyone know how many days a person has to stop applying gel before taking a first shot of test cyp?

The gels are out of your system in one day so you should be fine getting an injection the next day.

Far be it for me to disagree with The Dog, but usually when I do bw, it's done in the morning before application of gel. I always stop hcg a couple of days before bw. Last bw had me at 490. I initially was at 240(16 months ago). So, either the remnants of hcg are still having effects, my natural T has increased since my initial testing(that's unlikely; I'm shutdown), or the effects of the gel last a bit longer than 24 hours. Not sure...

The half-life of HCG is approximately 24-36 hours.
So if one took a shot of HCG 2 days before getting blood work the HCG would still be 25% - 42% active.

There's the answer. Makes sense.

Just take your shot the next day. Some continue the gels for a brief period of time during the transition like xcraider said.
When it comes to hcg , some docs recommend you stop all hcg a week prior to BW to see what your actual T level is without it's assistance.
