There are A LOT (let me repeat, A LOT) of threads that are head-shaking worthy. This is not one of them. You're on the right track mow. That's all that matters.

    I emphatically second that.

People come to this forum for support, to gain knowledge and to find a sense of commonality for their journey. This ought not ever be discouraged or looked down upon.

My thread is a bit complicated because of the heart surgery and the poor treatment I got by my cardiologist (combined with my own not monitoring what I as doing).

In this whole adventure, the short story is that the cardiologist didn't pay close attention to the blood test results he ordered. This is not ok for a specialist to have missed and rather than consider the effects of the high Hematocrit, he prescribed me two blood pressure medications that not only didn't do anything but made me feel worse.

One of them I might need, I am not 100% sure yet but even if I do, I certainly don't need the massive dose he gave me..The other one I clearly do not need as all of my symptoms can clearly be traced to the high HCT levels, not to mention my most probably wacked out Estrogen level.

Here's the point of this post. I have very carefully and gradually lowered both bp meds..Since taking the Cialis 2x a day (just 3 days), my bp is a bit lower!

I've made the safe and clear decision to finally taper off one of the meds entirely this week..I've already cut the dose 75% over 6 weeks, which is slower and more careful than any doctor would suggest..This week, I am done with one and the other med is down 50% and should be lower too.

It's insane I have to figure this crap out myself but my cardiologist and I are not safe to communicate at this point..and I couldn't get a new one to see me until end of next month..More importantly, I have had my damned heart checked, rechecked and checked again...it's doing pretty well.

Anyway! Love this board! I never would have thought to take the Cialis..5mg 2x a day..best anti depressant I can think of!

Hope to post blood test results tomorrow..Thanks for all the posts and reading this stuff.

    ==

I've gone back to old posts and edited them as I was not accurate about the dosages and was confused. I had not been taking as much as I thought. Regardless, over time the HCT built up and the rest is history.

Now at 40mg 2x a week and results tomorrow.

Got the results today..I believe more results are coming..

Here's the first page...figuring out the uploading.

The Bilirubin count is high but has been high my entire life so it's not relevant.

It's only been a couple of weeks at the new dose of 40mg 2x a week and I can see finally the T level is below 1500.

I want to donate blood as soon as I can to bring down the HCT and Hemoglobin just a little bit more and back to what is normal for me.

I have read up on LSH and FSH and see it's not a surprise considering everything..Not planning on any more kids..

I haven't spoken to the doctor yet and I am sure he will want to test again in a few weeks.

Glad its coming together now at least.

Those labs look good to me. But remember I'm the same as you, a fairly "new" TRT PT learning more everyday.

That's great that your able to use only 40mg twice per week & have labs that "high".

What Lab did the BW test for you? I'm wondering why some of the reference ranges look different than what the lab my Doc uses.

    Glad you're doing better.

    Bilirubin, what is that?

Edit: Disregard my question, my phone figured it out for me. Where do we want that to be in the range? Hi? Lo? Mid range?

Thank you! I've been so mixed up about all this that last night, when reviewing past dosages, I think for the most part, I've only been taking 100mg 1x per week. I was confused about the conversion on the 3cc syringe..but it appears I was doing it closer to 'right' all along, at least in terms of the dosage.

I think that the T level will continue to come down a bit as it's only been 2-3 weeks at 40mg 2x a week..

I think I am waiting for more test results and couldn't spend time with the nurse when she called..I think she said more are coming and I hope so.

I only found out that chronic high Bilirubin levels are considered Gilberts Syndrome. Which is not serious but important to know. I found that out from my first doctor who prescribed the T in the first place. All these years and no doctor ever told me that! But, I see even the Billirubin level has come down about 30% over the last few months.

I am feeling better than I did when I first started posting..The blood donations saved me. But I am still not feeling 'right'. I do look forward to another donation which should bring levels to normal for HCT, etc., not sure I will feel that difference but I still look forward to doing it.

I only started the Depo-Testosterone yesterday and again, I have no idea if there is any big difference in that compared to the Sustaplex..I doubt it but that's just a guess. I have a feeling that the next blood test, after giving a few weeks at 40mg 2x a week of Depo will show a lower Test level..I think my body is still adjusting..

I also don't know what target ranges I'm going for but I'm not concerned with any of that yet and sure some will weigh in here or I can search around and find out more.

The lab was from a big hospital and the doctor's office took the samples.

Besides the high HCT levels I've had over the last year, I swear I have had significant 'brain fog' and a host of other weird stuff that's clearing up as well.

Until I looked up FSH and LSH levels, I was concerned but see and understand its to be expected..although I am interested in hearing about that too.

    Thanks for the post!

I agree with you, I bet your Test levels will lower some more after being on the new Test Cyp & lower dose after a few more weeks. When I posted earlier I forgot about your prior history with other protocols & different Testosterone type, all these threads seem to melt together at times

I had bad "brain fog", loss of concentration, basically ADD prior to starting TRT. When I was on the topical gels my ADD was still very noticeable on a daily basis. My Doc had prescribed me Adderall XR 15mg, dosed once daily when needed. He scripted me a 30 day supply but I did very well at only taking it when necessary (i.e. doing a ton of paper work at the fire house, studying for a promotional exam earlier this year). It works well but I'm not crazy about some of the mild side effects. To make a long story longer, after being on Test Cyp 70mg twice per week for about 3 weeks now I have only taken it twice when I was buried in paper work. 98.6% of my ADD signs/symptoms are gone.

I donate blood every 56 days myself (that's as often as the local blood bank will allow). I'm a firm believer in donating on a regular basis, my Doc says it's very good for you TRT or no TRT. He states it's like changing the oil in your car, the motor runs better with new clean oil.

Good to know about the Gilbert's Syndrome. Something else to keep an eye on with my BW, now that I know what the hell that means.

You don't have to worry about Gilbert's Syndrome as it's something you either have or don't and not something you can develop.
