Brett, I think most of the time it is younger guys that comment, I have just found that there is much less older guys that openly will talk about use. The younger guys that comment know maybe what it will do for a younger guy, but do not have a clue, what benefits aas has for the older lifter with out of wack hormonal levels.

Also new here - my first cycle was at age 43. I just used information I've gathered here, outstanding knowledge base on these forums. I was able to overcome problems caused by an old rotator cuff injury, and just general aging issues. I was able to integrate cycles safely, with minimal side-effects (just a little testicular atrophy).
I'm thinking of running a cycle using Tren , but I haven't made that leap just yet. I will continue to use these forums to investigate THOROUGHLY before doing so, the information here is just outstanding.

Great Story
I am 39
6'4" 260
that story hit home with my life and the off and on of trying to stay fit. I am thinking about starting and this helped me.

Good read, very similar to my story. I am 42 and deep into my first real cycle since I was 29. I am 6'6" 245 and lean enough to see all 6 abbs plus obliques, just don't know what %bf I am. I have been on and off training since I was a teen, more off than on. I used aas to get over the hump as well and I feel and look great. I will do small cycles to keep up some size and motivation, I really want to stay in the gym permanently, no more off time. This site has given me lots of good info, look forward to reading and learning more.

I don't know how old this post is, or how many comments it has but I just had to say (and not meaning to be redundant) that turning 41 this year has given me new inspiration to keep on my fitness path. Sure there are days when I am discouraged at how hard I work and how little I seem to grow, but my kids will thank me for it when they can still get shoulder rides in the next 10 years. This post was just awesome.

Great read. Personally I am 44 and completed an anavar cycle last year. Went from 217 down to 203 with 17-18% fat in around 2 months at 5-11. It really helped me get over that bump that I personally felt I needed after being in the gym for over 25 years and seeing it get harder each year to be in the right condition and the inevitable family/career parts that sidetrack you.
Now Im starting my next cycle actually today and although I know anavar isnt the strongest, I dont need more mass. I feel Ill get myself down to 195 and if im lucky 15% body fat

Reading all of your posts has really encouraged me! I'm 45 and hoping to get my life back on track with TRT first and after that I could see taking it to the next level with some guidance. Either way, it feels good to be hopeful about the future instead of just trudging along!

I again have hope. I'm 48 and in the worst shape of my life. Seems like everytime I get going my body revolts. I just joined the forum and can't seem to stop reading. I know I'm not ready yet but now I believe that fighting through the rough spots to get to a solid base will be worth it. Thanks for the inspiring testimonial.

Thanks for posting this! It gives me a lot of hope as I start looking into my first cycle. I have a lot of research to do before I get there but posts like these sure make me feel like I'm on the right track! Thanks again so much.

I will say im happy i came across this old post. Just joined, and the beginning of this story is my life at 40. Thats how i ended up on this forum. Feel like my life is a shell of what it used to be, even 7 or 8 yrs ago. Doing some research, and i think im going to take this as my inspiration, figure out how to get going, and do my best to improve quality of life. Never figured there was so much hush hush about this type of thing, so taking a little longer to get what i need and get going on a regimen, but not gonna be deterred. Great read!

Well I’m 43, and after teetering on the brink of depression due to lack of energy, injury and loss of sex drive I went to the dr. After blood test I was off the chart below avg test levels he made me wait a month and get more blood work done. This time I had crept back into the “normal” range even though I was normal for an 84 year old man! So long story short doc refused to help. Found a friend with similar issues and he guided me into a small dosing if 250mg of test e and 150 mg of eq. Total life saver. My life has taken a drastic turn for the better. I am not bulking and slinking incredibly but I feel like a normal man my age would and that’s all I can ask for. Problem is my supplier in the left coast is unreliable and I know NOONE here in SC that can get it. So what do I do?

Thank you for this. As a 45 year old male who has just started using Test Cypionate a few years ago. This was very helpful.

I also did my first cycle over 40 - at 42 - I was never a "bodybuilder" but stayed in shape most of my life from 16 until about 38. I lost my shape & became a lazy bum a little too easily.
Long story short - I used THIS WEBSITE and one other to LEARN, LEARN, LEARN... then I PM'ed someone I trusted, found a reputable site for UGL & it's one of the best decisions I ever made.
I just wish our idiot government was as well-informed about the risks & would realize the health benefits FAR OUTWEIGH any negative sides - which of course, can be reduced or outright PREVENTED if you just do a little research.
We shouldn't have to sneak around & worry about love letters from customs to take initiative to improve our health.
