lifting singlet
For those that compete in powerlifting, do you workout in lifting singlet? Is there any advantage? I'm not a powerlifter but I love watching the sport and I'm just curious. Hope it's not a stupid question.

the singlet is like a uniform in powerlifting and is form fitting so that the judges can see if your butt leaves the bench during the bench press, hip lockout on deadlift, depth on squat. you can see why this would be difficult if everyone got to wear baggy sweat pants or huge t-shirts.
to answer your question, no the vast majority of powerlifters do not wear singlets during workouts, its just not necessary.
