My parents have spent over 200k on his medical care in the last 2 years and that's with having health insurance.

Lets just say when you steal your neighbors car and pretend to work at a shipyard as the CEO of a major corperation while wearing a necktie and bathrobe, the decision to be commited for psychiatric evaluation isn't really a choice at that point.

He's been in mental hospitals for probably 1 year out of the last 3 and inpatient programs and seen more doctors than I can count. He's just crazy now, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

And yeah, people on his medication with his problem gain weight, get diabetes (at a much higher rate then people who otherwise gain weight) and die young.
