im going to have to disagree on this. my girl and i have eaten at the nicest of the nice and she always orders her stake medium well to well. if the steak is as good as you are paying for, it will still be rediculously tender.

I remember working for a world known Chef one time and it was so funny what he do to the customers.

this one time I had trouble seating some folks, they obviously were not rich but wanted some expensive food

The chef calls me and asks "Whats the problem"

I say "I'm having issues seating these folks"

"Issues, there should be no issues, they are to be sat in their table, whats your deal"

I respond "I don't have a deal, these people are not wanting to seat at the table I was told to"

He says "Then ask them to leave, I am world known chef and do not need their business"

So I went over to the people and had to have them leave. They were totally shocked and left embarrassed and most importantly they got..

True but some chefs that make top dollar will not change stuff for one person. It can be considered a privilege to even be allowed there and some places that I been to you have to have membership of some kind.

They'll ask you to leave and tell you to go down the street to Outback and you can have that filet as well as you want

We will usually try to accommodate special needs to the best of our ability. It is, however, polite practice to mention any unusual preferences or allergies upon placing your reservation. If you give notice I can usually pull off a special select menu for you. It is a very nice place, after all; but if you walk in during the middle of a busy Saturday night and want to write your own menu-- it's not going to happen.
