Sure . . .

That guy was one of the big TV preachers back in the 1990's, took in tens of millions of $$$. His deal was, 'make a $$$ vow of faith to God and you'll be rewarded tenfold.' He sent out gobs of direct mail to people promising God would reward them if they sent $1000. Also told them to tell him what was troubling them, and he would pray for them. Of course, he acted as God's earthly banker, and it turned out that all the prayer requests were shuffled from his Dallas office to a low-bid contractor in Oklahoma, where all they did was take the donations out of the mail, and they threw the prayer requests in the trash. The scandal made it on national TV. People stopped attending his church, and donations quit coming in. Bill collectors took most of the church stuff away, but he still had personal property in Florida, so he went there. Now he's on a cable TV channel; I am told he's playing re-runs from his old Dallas church, pushing the same old BS: extravagant faith offerings in return for God's blessings.
I don't know too many Christians who think too much of this guy. Nevertheless, he sure is funny to watch . . . even without the farts . . .
