Kids are a Blessing. I have 3 Myself. I agree with choice. Some women arent ready and you should not bring a child in this world if its a bad situation.

Really?? never heard of that?? ever see any evidence of the "missing link?? " or any other evidence that was not based on assumptions??
Carbon dating is based on assumptions, based on the depth in the earth that objects are found..
You can't send an item in and say.. how old is this without that information.. laughable really..The answer to your every question

back when i was like 19 or 20 my girlfriend at the time became pregnant.we disscussed the situation and felt neithr of us was mature enough or had the money to take care of a baby,so she had an abortion.neither one of us are proud of what we did and i still live in regret and think about it everyday.if the baby would have been born it would be like 16 or 17 today....i wish i could take back waht we did and i have to live with it for the rest of my life.i hope ther will be a chance for me to meet him/her and say im sorry in the afterlife. untill then karma will keep kicking me in the ass.

It's pretty safe to say that any culture or society that willfully condones the elimination of their young isn't heading for greatness.
so it doesn't have to be a religious thing.
a good argument can be made against abortion on purely sociological grounds.

Creationism, OTOH, is based on a book writen in a time when people assumed the earth was flat and at the center of the universe and that the sun revolved around the earth. What was I thinking?
Personally I think the Romans had it just about as right as any other religion, and they thought zeus was throwing down lightning from Mt. Olympus.

It's actually based on half life of Carbon14. But Carbon14 levels have not been constant throughout the history of the planet, and so it's all based on a guesstimate. I remember a story on the news a few years back about a college student that sent some pig bones that he got from his parents farm into a university in California for carbon dating. He got a letter back saying the bones were thousands of years old (can't remember the exact number).
It seems like most science is based upon theory based upon theory based upon theory.

[QUOTE]
Can you back this up?
C14 is produced when solar radiation reacts with nitrogen. So as long as the atmosphere was made of mostly nitrogen and the sun was up there doing its thing, C14 levels have been approximately constant. Christian lobby constantly tries to use claim that C14 levels are not consistant in an attempt to debunk carbon dating, because the alternative is admitting that their foolish little book is a fantasy. Unfortunately there is zero science to back up their claims. On top of that C14 is not the only radio isotope out there and several others have been used to produce data which is in close agreement with the data from carbon dating. Radio isotope dating is an estimate, but it is a reliable estimate. It is not a guestimate.

Goodbye Europe and Sovereign Nations

Sorry. Sometimes I get carried away.
I think that religion can be blamed for most of the problems humanity is facing today. I'm scared shitless about the situation in Pakistan. I blame christianity for G.W. Bush's reign of terror. Through out history religion has been used to justify any manor of atrocity. So yes I am aching to attack religion.
But you guys don't need to hear me rant.
I'll leave this thread alone from now on. You all know what I think.

I watched a study once where people were put into a room and not told what the study was about. They mingled, chatted, etc. Then an hour later they were given either a blue shirt or a red shirt. To make a long story short the blue shirted people ended up fighting with the red shirted people..each was loyal to there own color.
Religion doesnt have anything to do with mans problems.

Because of what you said about not putting faith in scientific method. Science is a continualy evolving method, there is no such thing as scientific fact, things just get scientifically verified.
But Science has opened up the worlds eyes a Hell of a lot more than religion has.
I'll place my faith in science over the Bibles.
