I know this is a sensitive topic, I hope no one takes it too personally. The purpose here is to share thoughts on the topic, not offend anyone.

actually samson u can be a christian and be many things u wouldnt think. the whole idea of christianity is founded in sin. thats why we need jesus.. just because u become a christian does not mean u are exempt from giving into temptation or being caught up in worldly things. its something i struggle with daily.. the difference being i feel guilty about it when i do stuff and think about it a lot more now. before not only did i not feel guilty about my sinful deeds to the contrary i embraced them!

WTF was that? I have read like 1001 of your posts and this one is the one that makes way beyond the least sense.
You feel guilty, but you do it? < WTH is that? If you feel bad about it, don't do it - That simple. Or - Me <> I make my decisions, and I will pay for them. Why feel guilty for what I choose to do. It took me a long time to get in touch with the "real" reality.

Romans 7:14-25 (this was written by the apostle Paul about himself, i would also like to note he is responsible for writing at least 13 books of the New Testament. it was written approx 57AD - it seems my situation is not uncommon):
Struggling with Sin
14 "So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.
18 And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[d] I want to do what is right, but I can’t. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. 20 But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.
21 I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. 22 I love God’s law with all my heart. 23 But there is another power[e] within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. 24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin."
i will not argue with ur logic samson. IMO it is faulty.. its not that easy: dont do it.. LOL.. easy for u to say.. try playing that card with someone else pal.. u dont have the all answers..

405, I respect you and your religious beliefs. None of what I have said was an attack on you or your beliefs and I wasn't mocking your faith in any way. I just want to make that clear. You are absolutely right though, you don't need to debate about your faith. To be honest, I wish I could believe in god but I can't.
Note that I am agnostic (not an atheist) because science has not yet proven that god does not exist. I feel that some day it will though.

I don't think you are too stupid. Like I said above, if it makes your life better or happier then I am all for that. It's just not for me and it won't ever be. There is too much bad shit that goes on in the world and too much overwhelming evidence that points to the contrary.

While I do not feel guilty about using AAS there are plenty of things that I do feel guilty about. Some things I have stopped doing since becoming saved. Some things I stopped then started again. Some things I know are wrong but I continue to do them. Its all part of the struggle to become a better Christian. This is why I try not to cast stones at something someone else does because I am no better even if I do have a personal relationship with God.
