We (Examine.com) just finished summarizing our research on it. I'd link but I'm still under the post limit

Hello to all. This is my first post in this forum and I just registered for replying to this thread. I am really interested in this whole Noopept thing and I've just read through this topic.
I never tried any steroids ( besides "Finasterid" ( not a real steroid but worth considering it)against hairloss which gave me permanent sides till now)
Nevertheless I've got some questions :
- I know that there are no long-term experiences, but in short term - is Noopept safe ? Regarding possible sides - just in your experiences.
- I've just heard about two sides, especially a lower libido ( really fearing this 'cause of Finasterid sides) and something called irritability - can not imagine anything on these english word - your meaning ?
- Is Noopept making addictive ? I just imagine taking this thing for a while, and when you get off, you just feel like a total dumbass( low energy effect) - isn't that possible ?
And my last question - does anybody know a good source which delivers to Germany without custom problems ?
Thank you !!
Edit : I just forgot to write about my "problems" - as a result of fin I experienced a little brain fog and I have problems to slow down my speech, because my brain is faster than my mouth.
Do u think it is worth to give it a try ?
ThanksLast edited by holark; 03-25-2013 at 09:44 AM.

Interesting post, wish I read it rather than spending weeks of research.
Btw, google webnutrients, they have a great blend of nootropics, but it greatly overpriced.
As to the effects, they were mostly apparent to me the first weeks, and after taking the suggested 1 month of after 2 months on, they didn't appear again :/
Oh well, might as well use this batch up.

Wish I read that rather than reading tons of stuff for weeks.
As tothe effects, I can agree to that, but after 2 months on and 1 month of, as it's suggested you should do, effects didn't appear :/.
Nice post

Great thread. Since weighing out individual doses can be inconvenient on the go, could 600mg of noopept be dissolved in 30ml of some sort of solvent and dosed with a graduated dropper? If so any suggestions on an appropriate solvent?

Hi I am the owner of Peak Nootropics and we specialize in Noopept. For the guy who said the sublingual method is better, that is completely subjective and irrelevant. Right on the GSV-111 manufacturer website it states oral provides the best result because noopept remains almost entirely unchanged on first pass to the liver. Oral and subligual method will provide similar results because dipeptides are absorbed in the intestine
Anyway, we sell high quality Noopept powder with 10mg microspoons included with purchase.

Also, if you want to learn about the other nootropics we have lots of information that links to real scientific studies. There are a lot of myths floating around about nootropics

Hey guys,
New on the forum here. I have been taking noots for a couple months now. Started with Piracetam and Choline and my current stack is Aniracetam and Choline as well as L-theanine and a Zinc supplememnt. So far so good with the Choline and Aniracetam. In a few days my stack will be as follows:
Choline
Aniracetam
Noopept
L Tyrosine
Multi Vitamin
Omega 3's
and possibly some Piracetam
Its the Noopept I'm really interested in trying. I am a regular Cannabis smoker and having had long periods of abstinence in the past, I am aware of the initial couple of weeks where one may become more irritable and have trouble sleeping at night so I'm hoping the noots will help me with the withdrawal symptoms. Im pretty active and healthy anyways so it shouldn't take too long. I'll keep posting.

Just ordered some noopept and choline (they come together!) for myself here in canada, hopefully all goes well with the shipping process and ill come back here with my experience once I get the package. This will be the first time trying something like this!
Btw are there any people out there still using this stuff? It was a pretty hot topic earlier this year and many people were eager to try it.Last edited by B1gDaddy; 05-22-2013 at 05:00 PM.

I've found my way to this thread several times from various searches, so I figured it was time to chime in. I've only just begun taking Nootropics, and I'm very excited at the prospects (as I'm sure most people are) of cognitive enhancement. Suggestions are really what I'm here for, but I'd also like to provide input for those who might be curious about Noopept. Like the OP, I also recommend sublingual administration. (Too bad he got himself banned... seemed to have some valuable firsthand knowledge)
I've been using pure powdered Noopept for about two weeks, and I can verify many of the normal experiences the average user reports.
INCREASES IN:
-POSITIVE
1) Memory Recall
2) Concentration
3) Awareness
4) Mental control
5) Elevated mood
6) Calm
7) Receptivity to conversation
8) Prevention of pain attributed to over-consumption of alcohol
-NEGATIVE
1) Occasional "brain fog"
2) Occasional headache (possibly due to dehydration)
3) Irritability
4) Clenched jaw
5) Tightness/pain in chest
NOTES:
1) Regarding the negative effects I've observed, I have a suspicion as to what the true culprit might be: Energy shots. I take 1-3 (sometimes as many as 5) in a work period, which can range anywhere from 18-48 hours. To keep me going, I use the Kirkland branded "5-hour" energy shots from Costco, and I believe that I'm probably over-stimulated. I'm on the net right now trying to put together the "perfect" Nootropic stack in order to address this problem. As it is now what I'm taking to get going becomes a requirement to keep going, and then I don't stop until I'm so fatigued I can't see straight. Obviously a destructive course of action.
2) I can attest to the higher absorption when mixed with alcohol. The effects are far more apparent (5 friends all concur) when mixed with alcohol. Unfortunately, I can't speak on what I would call "responsible" mixing of the two, as all who've consumed both alcohol and Noopept simultaneously (myself included), did so at levels beyond what would be advisable for either. The group drinks alot, what can I say. That mindset always tends to think along the lines of "the more the better," which is NOT true with Noopept. I left the jar I had brought with me to our gathering in the kitchen, and one individual thought insulfating a LARGE amount would be a good idea. He did win in poker, but he was quite moody and irritable, noticeably so. I have a story involving a somewhat extreme situation, but this post is probably going to end up far too long as it is, so I won't deviate that far without request.
3) Lastly, the chest pain I noticed was reminiscent of a pre-existing condition that has gone undiagnosed since my early childhood. The doctor couldn't really figure it out and he basically gave up trying to. It would occur after a period of heightened excitement that was directly followed by inactivity or peace. The excitement could be physical or mental, but I was never able to replicate the condition under medical supervision, hence the eventual abandonment of research into the cause.
To the point, I've noticed on several occasions a similar tightness/pain in my chest (horizontally centered above the left pectoral, and directly adjacent the vertical middle of the chest.. basically drag a circle down the middle on the left side until it lines up with the pectoral) after taking subsequent doses of Noopept later in the day. The discomfort subsides within 30 minutes, and, from what I can tell, is more likely to happen if orally administered. To give you an idea of the initial dosage that produced this result, the first time I tried Noopept was after the last UFC fight (Silva vs. Weidman). I'd had about 4 drinks while we watched it at a sports bar, picked up the package from my house, mixed 2 10-15mg scoops with an energy shot, and then mixed about 5 10-15mg scoops in with some water about an hour later. This produced the reaction I've been talking about within about 10-20 minutes. Didn't drink too much after that, as I was rather worried about the chest pain. The pain took about 30-60 minutes to dissipate, but I calmed down prior to that after reading about people "living" through massive doses of 100+mg. Long story short, if you have a history of chest pain, don't push past the recommended dosage until you've had time to become acquainted with the substance.
QUESTIONS I HAVE FOR OTHER NOOPEPT USERS:
1) If Noopept is purportedly up to 1000 times stronger than Piracetam, why are people combining the two (or three, or whatever Racetams people are combining with Noopept)? The only logical thing I can come up with is that a Racetam user might be fearful to abandon a substance they've relied on in the past with a measure of success. For those of you out there mixing Noopept with Racetams, have you noticed any added benefits? Have you tested one without the other, and vice versa, to observe any measurable difference? I'd just say f-ck it and dive in, but you have to consume so much of the Racetams, and I'd rather limit my exposure to chemicals with possible side-effects as much as possible. I'm aware that the majority of Racetams have a similar laundry list of side-effects in comparison to Noopept, but then again it depends on where you're reading the information, and whether really any of this stuff is safe in the long-term. I only discovered Noopept because I was researching Piracetam, and it just doesn't seem to make any sense to be combining the two. Why take a ton of something that will deliver the same result as something you only have to take a little of?
2) Can anyone provide me with any of their own personal stories relating to Noopept use in conjunction with caffeine, or any other stimulants for that matter? Has any combined Noopept with Modafinil, and if so, what was the experience like? What successes or failures have people experienced thus far?
3) What should I be adding to my Nootropic stack besides choline? I've found conflicting reports of "accepted" knowledge vs. what I've noticed people recommending in other forums (e.g. Tyrosine, LARC), so any feedback from personal experiences would be very helpful. Especially amounts of recommended additions.
I think I'll have to come back and edit this later, but I'm very curious to hear from other Noopept users. For those that are interested, longecity.com has MANY threads dedicated to Noopept, but they require payment to access their forums ($50/yearly, free to browse). I haven't ponied up the membership fee yet, but I plan to soon.

Yeah, it ended up being alot longer than I had planned. I only read the first page, but I noticed that guy being somewhat overzealous. I'll tone it down
Just purchased the following to build my Nootropic stack, which should be here by Monday:
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine
Sulbutiamine
Caffeine (will use sparingly, if necessary)
Choline Bitartrate
L-Theanine
Milligram Scale, Capsule Machine, and "0" Capsules
If this goes well, I plan on adding:
Idebenone
Acetyl L-Carnitine
L-Glutamine
Schizandrol A
I don't know. Spent a good chunk of time researching all of these, but now that the list is somewhat complete, it seems like alot to be messing with. Have to try one at a time I guess. I'll come back and post the dosage/frequency of each after I've had some time with them (for those who are interested).
Gotta get into a regular workout routine and school myself on all the proper supplements. I agreed to do Tough Mudder with a friend next year, and I need to get my skinny ass into shape. So much to learn..

It does taste like shit, not as bad as PEA, but pretty nasty. Going to mix it with a couple drops of brandy when my next batch gets here.
